Position Summary

We’re seeking a strategic and execution-focused Product Owner to oversee the lifecycle of key operational software platforms supporting our franchise systems. This role will start by managing Fence360, a proprietary software built for Superior Fence & Rail and will also lead the discovery and rollout of a new, end-to-end operations platform for Archadeck Outdoor Living.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, and is passionate about translating complex business needs into scalable software solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

Fence360 – Superior Fence & Rail

  • Serve as the internal owner of the Fence360 platform, managing the product backlog, roadmap, and enhancement requests.
  • Act as the liaison between Empower Brands, our external development partner, and the Superior Fence & Rail Franchisee Committee.
  • Prioritize feature development based on business value, franchisee feedback, and strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (Operations, Marketing, Training, etc.) to support effective adoption and use of the platform.
  • Provide Tier 2 and 3 support as and when required by becoming a product Subject Matter Expert.

New Platform Development – Archadeck Outdoor Living

  • Lead the discovery and requirements-gathering phase for a new operations platform serving 85+ Archadeck locations.
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops to document current workflows and identify pain points and opportunities.
  • Define functional and technical requirements for core workflows, including:
    • Lead intake & follow-up
    • Sales CRM
    • Email/SMS communication
    • Estimating & proposals
    • Contract creation
    • Production & project management
    • Invoicing & payment
    • Budgeting & job cost tracking
    • Reporting & dashboards
  • Evaluate and recommend third-party vendors or solutions.
  • Manage project timelines, vendor coordination, stakeholder communication, and phased rollout plans.

 

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in Product Ownership or Technical Project Management.
  • Proven experience managing SaaS or operations platforms, especially in franchising, construction, home services, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of CRM systems, job workflow platforms, and sales/ops technology stacks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to synthesize complex processes and translate them into clear, actionable requirements.
  • Experience working with or managing third-party developers and vendors.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

 

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience in franchise operations or supporting multi-location businesses.
  • Background in UX/UI collaboration or product design.
  • Exposure to platforms like Buildertrend, JobNimbus, JobTread, Acculynx, ServiceTitan, or similar.
