Director of Field Services
Remote, United States
Core Responsibilities:
- Assist in the drafting of business plans for each local market.
- Review each market’s business plan with the Regional Franchise Developer (RFDs) at least on a quarterly basis, and at the start of each calendar year recommend modifications and adjustments to maintain the integrity of each business plan.
- Conduct a minimum of 24-30 market visits each year complete with pre-set agendas and trip report summaries recapping recommendations for improvement.
- Assist in the development and implementation of various programs and initiatives as needed.
- Conduct various training programs for Corporate Office Staff and RFDs.
- Ensure that RFD reports are submitted and associated payments are received by the 10th of the month.
- Discuss reports and KPIs with each RFD on a monthly basis to determine a plan of action for implementing the recommendations identified in each report.
- Maintain frequent, effective, and productive communication with each RFD regarding the monthly progress in all components of their business in pursuit of monthly goals and objectives.
- Prepare a monthly synopsis for each city within your specific area of responsibility identifying strengths, weaknesses and recommendations for improvement.
- Assist in the development of new and existing programs designed to strengthen the JAN-PRO level of support in the growth of each region.
- Work with underperforming and/or non-compliant RFDs to address and rectify specific areas of concern.
- Prepare and review a trip report recap at the conclusion of each city visit in the presence of the RFD. This should entail a general overview of the visit identifying strengths, weaknesses and recommendations that will be forthcoming in the trip report.
- Represent JPI with the highest degree of integrity and business ethics in the performance of your duties ensuring the respect of the master licensee community.
- Incorporate “Best Practices” as identified from RFD visits into the franchise sales, account sales, telemarketing, operations and accounting components of the JAN- PRO model.
- Prepare and submit regular reports, visit and phone logs, and other information to the Senior Vice President of Operations as required.
- Travel for this job responsibility is at least 50% or greater, with occasional weekend travel.

Required Experience & Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in business consulting, business ownership, or operational leadership. Experience within the janitorial space a major plus.
- Pace and Variety of Activities - Sense of urgency for goal achievement with varied activities and multiple, simultaneous projects. Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Results focused with idea generation, innovative and creative problem solving. Rapport and relationship building focused on achieving results. Must engage the commitment of others.

- Strong oral and written communication skills.

- Training and/or teaching experience a plus.
