Director of Commercial Insulation
Position Overview
The Director of Commercial Insulation will lead the development, execution, and growth of the commercial insulation division within our franchise system. This role is responsible for building and scaling a profitable commercial program that supports franchise owners in pursuing B2B opportunities, including multifamily, office, industrial, retail, government, and institutional projects.
The Director will serve as the subject matter expert in commercial insulation, ensuring franchisees have the operational systems, vendor relationships, sales strategies, and technical training needed to win and deliver commercial projects with excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Program Development & Strategy
- Design and implement the commercial insulation business model for the franchise system.
- Define service offerings, pricing structures, estimating standards, and project management best practices.
- Establish safety, compliance, and quality assurance standards aligned with industry regulations.
- Develop scalable tools, templates, and resources to support franchisees entering the commercial market.
Franchisee Training & Support
- Create and deliver commercial insulation training programs for franchise owners, sales teams, and project managers.
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to franchisees pursuing commercial opportunities.
- Lead workshops, webinars, and field training sessions on commercial bidding, estimating, and project execution.
- Support franchisees with pre-bid qualification processes, RFP responses, and proposal development.
Sales & Business Development
- Build relationships with national and regional general contractors, developers, and property managers to create system-wide commercial opportunities.
- Develop a pipeline of preferred commercial projects and distribute leads to franchise owners.
- Partner with Marketing to create collateral, case studies, and campaigns targeting commercial clients.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in commercial insulation, construction, or building materials.
- Deep knowledge of insulation systems, energy efficiency standards, and building codes.
- Proven track record in estimating, bidding, and managing commercial projects of varying size and scope.
- Experience supporting or leading within a franchise, multi-unit, or distributed business model preferred.
- Strong vendor management, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and training abilities.
- Ability to travel approximately 25% to support franchise locations and attend industry events.
