Position Summary:

The Full Stack Developer delivers high-impact engineering across critical platforms powering Empower’s hyper-growth in a highly regulated 503A/503B pharmacy environment. This role owns end-to-end feature development, system reliability, and performance optimization, leveraging AI to accelerate development speed, enhance code quality, and improve decision-making. The position operates across frontend, backend, and data layers, ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant solutions.

Responsibilities:

Software Development

  • Feature Delivery: Design, build, and deploy full stack features across frontend and backend systems, using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, testing, and debugging while ensuring scalability and maintainability.
  • Code Quality: Write clean, testable, and efficient code using modern frameworks and AI-driven code review tools, maintaining high standards for performance, security, and reliability.
  • System Integration: Develop and maintain APIs, services, and integrations across internal and external systems, ensuring seamless data flow and compliance with security and regulatory standards.

System Performance

  • Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across application layers using monitoring tools and AI-driven insights.
  • Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot production issues using structured debugging approaches and AI-assisted diagnostics to minimize downtime.
  • Reliability Engineering: Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions to proactively detect issues and improve system stability.

Collaboration Execution

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions aligned with business and regulatory needs.
  • Agile Delivery: Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives to improve delivery outcomes.
  • Documentation Practices: Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation to support knowledge sharing and compliance readiness.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in full stack technologies including JavaScript frameworks, backend languages, APIs, and databases.
  • Solid understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with secure coding practices, regulatory considerations, and data protection standards.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in full stack development, including frontend frameworks, backend services, and database management.
  • Experience working in agile development environments with continuous integration and deployment practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve coding efficiency, testing, and debugging.
