Implementation Consultant - ERP
We’re a high-growth software company with a big mission: empowering K-12 district teams to do more with less.
At LINQ, we get K12. That’s why we help districts transform K-12 school operations with best-in-class, cloud-based software solutions built to help districts return more resources to classrooms. Integrating finance, HR, nutrition management, and payments into a single, secure platform, LINQ reduces administrative burden. LINQ is trusted by 30% of school districts across the U.S. to help them operate more efficiently and serve over 1 billion meals to 17 million students annually, process payroll for 364,000 educators, administrators, and staff, and engage with millions of families through the free LINQ Connect app.
Our team? They’re talented, committed, and fiercely loyal problem-solvers. At LINQ, you’ll find challenging and meaningful work, a team that respects and uplifts one another, and a commitment to constant improvement. Our customers love us because we’re attentive, patient, communicative, and solutions focused. They know they can count on us to not only anticipate their needs but to deliver the right answer every time.
About The Role:
Our ERP Consulting team is a critical part of the Professional Services group at LINQ, dedicated to leading successful software implementations for K-12 school districts nationwide.
- We’re the functional experts and business analysts behind every implementation, ensuring our powerful and feature-rich ERP platform is delivered correctly—every time.
- Our team is made up of smart, capable critical thinkers who genuinely enjoy solving challenging problems for a living. Because our projects directly influence whether clients thrive with LINQ long-term, we focus heavily on hiring team members with exceptional business acumen, strategic thinking, and client-management skills.
- We specialize in complex, longer-term projects involving intricate financial data, detailed process analysis, and sophisticated data migrations.
If you're someone who enjoys digging deep into complex challenges and making a lasting impact, you’ll find your professional home here.
About The Role:
Think of yourself as a trail guide for districts adopting LINQ ERP. You’ll chart the course through discovery, configuration, testing, and go-live—keeping stakeholders oriented, informed, and confident every step of the way. Success is measured by how effectively you translate business needs into a working solution and how quickly clients feel self-sufficient on the platform.
Primary Objectives:
These are the Year 1 objectives that you’ll be measure against,
- Earn trusted-advisor status. By year-end, client sponsors call you first for process or product guidance and volunteer as references.
- Shorten the path to value. Identify and implement improvements on projects (and, ideally, within our broader methodology) that reduce average configuration/validation time without sacrificing quality.
- Contribute to practice assets. Produce, at least, two reusable artifacts (e.g., discovery scripts, training materials, requirements gathering) adopted by peers.
- Elevate cross-team collaboration. Proactively surface data-migration or integration risks early, enabling smoother hand-offs to Technical Services.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- 30 Days In - You’ll immerse yourself in our seven-stage methodology, shadowing senior peers while completing your configuration and product certifications. By the end of the month, you can “read the trail map” unaided and spot quick wins for each client you meet.
- 90 Days In - You’re fully billable, steering discovery workshops and documenting fit/gap analyses for at least two concurrent projects. Stakeholders already look to you to clarify scope and flag data-migration risks before they bite.
- 180 Days In - You are the owner and lead of a full implementation from planning through UAT and go-live, managing client stakeholders, collaborating with your project manager, contributing to the team knowledge base and accountable for creating your customer’s experiences and outcomes.
- 365 Days In - Your client retrospectives feed directly into our methodology’s next version. You’re the go-to for something (reporting, budgeting, payroll, etc.), provide support for new hires who are shadowing, and present a best-practice webinar directly to our customers as part of Back-to-School.
What We Are Looking For:
- Strong Consulting Toolkit: You learn fast, out-produce peers, and thrive amid ambiguity. You are skilled in facilitation, discovery, scope definition, and conflict resolution. You understand SaaS data structures and can partner smoothly with technical teams.
- Change Catalyst: You create the change that you want to see in your team, your projects and your practice. You aren’t waiting for the “cavalry” to ride in and “save the day” but recognize that improvement (process, people and performance) happens when we get 1% better every day.
- Strategic Communicator: Exceptional interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build trust and credibility with clients, technical teams, and executive stakeholders. Comfortable in direct customer interactions and leading strategic internal discussions.
- Complexity & Detail-Oriented Mindset: Proven comfort and proficiency working with detailed processes, complex financial data, sophisticated data migrations, and feature-rich software platforms without becoming overwhelmed.
- Proactive Problem Solver: Innate curiosity, intellectual agility, and a natural inclination to uncover root causes and implement effective, pragmatic solutions rather than merely managing symptoms.
- Results-Focused Business Acumen: A strategic thinker with a strong understanding of how operational excellence, efficiency, and client satisfaction directly translate into long-term business success.
- BA/BS degree in a related field
