About The Team:
The Data Platform team powers LINQ’s internal intelligence and business operations; connecting the dots between go-to-market systems, financial processes, and product analytics. The team spans two distinct but closely integrated functions: Business Systems and Data Engineering. Together, these functions are central to how LINQ drives decisions, measures outcomes, and scales operations across the organization. This team partners closely with Revenue, Finance, Product, and Engineering to ensure that data flows cleanly from source to insight.
About The Role:
We are seeking a Senior Director of Data Platform to lead and unify LINQ’s Business Systems and Data Engineering functions. This is a strategic, hands-on leadership role responsible for the people, tools, and infrastructure that power our data-driven operations. You will manage our CRM ecosystem and revenue operations tooling alongside our data and BI stack. This role operates at the intersection of technology and business strategy, requiring equal parts technical credibility and executive communication.
Primary Objectives:
- Own and evolve LINQ’s Data Platform strategy, spanning Business Systems (Salesforce and RevOps tooling) and Data Engineering (Snowflake, dbt).
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team across two functions; managers and individual contributors alike.
- Ensure data reliability, governance, and operational excellence across all systems under your purview.
- Partner cross-functionally with Revenue, Finance, Product, and Engineering to translate business needs into scalable data solutions.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Business Systems
- Own the strategy and operations of LINQ’s Salesforce environment, including Sales Cloud, CPQ, and all connected RevOps tooling.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Success to capture business requirements and translate them into scalable CRM solutions.
- Govern data quality, user access, integration architecture, and system reliability across all Business Systems platforms.
- Evaluate, procure, and manage third-party RevOps tools (e.g., Gong, Clari, ZoomInfo, or similar) to support GTM effectiveness and revenue intelligence.
- Drive adoption and change management as new tools and processes are introduced across revenue-facing teams.
- Data Engineering
- Own the architecture and operations of LINQ’s modern data stack, including data warehouse, transformation layer, and orchestration/pipeline tooling.
- Lead data modeling strategy, ensuring clean, well-documented, and business-aligned data products across Finance, RevOps, Product, and Operations domains.
- Establish and enforce data governance standards: lineage, cataloging, access controls, and data quality frameworks.
- Partner with Analytics, Engineering, and Product to deliver trusted data to downstream consumers; dashboards, reporting, and operational workflows.
- Drive the evolution of LINQ’s data infrastructure from ingestion through transformation to delivery.
- Leadership & Strategy
- Hire, develop, and retain strong technical and operational talent across both functions.
- Set clear team direction, priorities, and OKRs in alignment with LINQ’s strategic goals.
- Represent the Data Platform function in senior leadership forums and cross-functional planning.
- Build a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement across your team.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience); advanced degree a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in data, business systems, or related technical fields, with at least 4+ years in a senior leadership role managing managers and cross-functional teams.
- Deep expertise with Salesforce (Sales Cloud, CPQ preferred) and demonstrated experience governing RevOps technology ecosystems.
- Strong background in modern data engineering: Snowflake, dbt, ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and cloud data infrastructure.
- Proven ability to bridge business needs and technical execution—translating ambiguous requirements into reliable systems and data products.
- Experience establishing data governance, quality, and security frameworks at scale.
- Track record of building and developing high-performing technical teams in fast-paced, growth-stage environments.
- Excellent communication and executive presence—able to influence and align stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong project and program management skills; comfortable managing competing priorities across multiple workstreams.
What will Make You Stand Out:
- Experience leading both a Business Systems (CRM/RevOps) function and a Data Engineering function simultaneously.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Architect-level credentials).
- Familiarity with data mesh, data product, or data contract architectures.
- Experience with downstream BI and analytics tooling (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Sigma) as a consumer of the data platform.
- Background in K–12 EdTech or adjacent SaaS markets.
The Tech:
- Salesforce (Sales Cloud, CPQ)
- RevOps tooling (e.g., Gong, Clari, ZoomInfo, or similar)
- Snowflake
- dbt (dbt Core or dbt Cloud)
- Data pipeline/orchestration tools (e.g., Fivetran, Airbyte, Airflow)
- BI/Analytics tooling (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Sigma, or similar)
- GitHub Enterprise
