Senior Project Manager – Business Central

About the Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee key client projects, ensuring consistent delivery on time, within budget, and within scope. The ideal candidate will navigate client relationships, maintain clear project objectives, manage risks, and demonstrate leadership within our delivery team. 

Our projects involve various processes, strategies, and methodologies that allow us to provide exceptional service; therefore, we are seeking experienced professionals who thrive on challenges and opportunities for growth. Candidates must have significant experience as an external client-facing service delivery project manager in the ERP industry, specifically with software implementations of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Location: Tampa, FL (hybrid), Fargo, ND (hybrid)
Reporting to: Delivery Success Leader
Travel: Up to 10% within the United States

 

Your day will consist of:

Project Coordination and Execution

  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for flawless project execution.
  • Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.

 

Client and Stakeholder Management

  • Successfully manage relationships with clients, stakeholders, and all parties involved in project deliverables.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders.
  • Report and escalate to management as necessary.
  • Coach and motivate project team members to keep tasks on track.

 

Risk Management and Performance Measurement

  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Measure project performance using relevant tools and techniques.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.

 

Documentation and Oversight

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation covering all aspects of the project.
  • Provide program oversight to project objectives.
  • Participate in time management reviews and client invoicing.

 

Here is what it takes to be successful in the role:

Experience

  • 7+ years of proven experience in project management.
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is required.
  • Extensive experience in high-stress environments, particularly due to the critical nature of project execution and evolving priorities.
  • Proven experience managing multiple team members' workloads in implementation projects.
  • Experience managing larger teams (15+ people).
  • Familiarity with managing multi-year projects.
  • Proven experience in risk management and mitigation.
  • Experience managing Time and Material and Fixed Fee budgets.

 

Skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects for diverse clients in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multi-tasking capabilities.
  • Comfortable with setting and resetting expectations.
  • Proficient in managing client and stakeholder relationships, negotiating effectively, and engaging in challenging conversations with C-Level executives.

 

Bonus Points for:

  • Experience with Dynamics NAV, Dynamics GP, Dynamics SL, NetSuite, or other compatible ERP solutions.
  • SCRUM Master certification.
  • PMP Certification.
