Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional with a passion for accuracy and efficiency? Join our dynamic team as a Staff Accountant, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and operational excellence.

Reporting directly to our Manager of Accounting, you will oversee critical accounting functions, including revenue recognition, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and monthly reconciliations. This position is perfect for someone with a solid understanding of GAAP principles, experience in SaaS or technology industries, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.

What You'll Do:

 

  • Perform daily accounting operations, managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger entries.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze account reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and maintain proper documentation.
  • Assist with revenue recognition in line with ASC 606 for subscription-based services.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support budget management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and GAAP standards.
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Manager on process improvements and implement new tools or systems to enhance efficiency.
  • Provide documentation and support audit requests as needed.

 

What You'll Bring:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA candidate 
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a SaaS or tech-focused environment.
    • At least 1 year of public accounting experience, particularly in audit.
    • Experience with subscription billing and SaaS revenue models.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems).
    • Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to analyze large datasets.
    • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Additional Details

This role will receive a competitive salary + bonus + benefits. The salary for US-based employees located in the below markets may expect offers in the below ranges for this role.

US Annual Base Salary Range:  $65,000 - $80,000 plus bonus program.  A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s compensation, including a candidate’s professional background, experience, and location. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above based on these considerations.

Location:  We are a hybrid work environment.  This role can be remote or located in Corporate office located in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Travel:  This position could require overnight travel to corporate offices. Additional travel could include attendance of conferences and trade shows.
