Your Impact at Encompass
Are you an organized, experienced, and an energized accounting professional? Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Controller to manage and oversee our daily accounting operations. You will work closely with the Global Controller and will be a key player in leading the company’s accounting function. This is a highly visible role and will help to ensure the company maintains a strong controlled environment as well as develops talent within the group.
What You'll Do:
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations – AP, AR, Revenue Recognition, etc.
- Responsible for participating in the monthly, quarterly, and annual group close and reporting process, including performing and reviewing account reconciliations
- Responsible for understanding and analyzing all assigned accounts and explaining variances supporting these fluctuations
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures and assist in the design and implementation of new controls and processes
- Manage and oversee required monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance reporting
- Monitor and evaluate financial systems – collect, analyze, verify, and report financial information to document financial performance
- Analyze general ledger variances and suggest corrective action for management’s approval to meet annual accounting financial objectives
- Assist Global Controller with preparation of month reporting packages; annual financial audit; and preparation of annual tax returns and tax provision
- Provide guidance on complex accounting issues, ensuring proper application of accounting standards
- Coordinate with various departments to collect, verify, and consolidate financial data from international subsidiaries
- Lead junior accounting staff, including recruiting, hiring, training, and performance evaluation, and career development
- Assist Global Controller with M&A activities, PPA and integration
- Perform ad hoc analysis and other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of professional accounting experience.
- Public accounting experience and CPA preferred
- Minimum 3 years in management or leadership role
- Skills:
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP; experience with tax reporting and debt compliance; high proficiency with NetSuite required.
- Industry: Experience with SaaS and 606 strongly preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Cross Functional Partnership: Able to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and outside parties to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Additional Details
This role will receive a competitive salary + bonus + benefits. The salary for US-based employees located in the below markets may expect offers in the below ranges for this role.
US Annual Base Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000 plus bonus program. A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s compensation, including a candidate’s professional background, experience, and location. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above based on these considerations.
Location: We are a hybrid work environment. This role can be remote or located in Corporate office located in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Travel: This position could require overnight travel to corporate offices. Additional travel could include attendance of conferences and trade shows.
