Your Impact at Encompass
As the Global Controller, you will be a motivated, experienced and energetic professional responsible for overseeing the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance with regulatory standards. You will ensure that the financial records are accurate, timely, and compliant with both internal and external regulations. You must have strong leadership skills, great communication skills and a strong sense of ethics. Additionally, you should have the experience and ability to prepare and analyze financial reports, manage multiple projects on tight deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and financial systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and international reporting requirements.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual group close and reporting process to ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and analysis of key account fluctuations
- Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures – lead the design and implementation of new controls and processes
- Own required monthly, quarterly, and annual debt compliance reporting
- Oversee audits and coordinate with external auditors for annual audit process
- Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international tax reporting requirements – lead preparation of annual tax returns and tax provision
- Monitor and manage cash flow, commercial banking relationships, and investment activities
- Audit operations, develop action plans, and execute roadmap to improve financial processes and implement best practices
- Lead M&A related activities including PPA and integration
- Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and career development
- Promote a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and commitment to quality and integrity
What You'll Bring:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA required.
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years of progressive accounting experience, with 5 to 7 years in a management or leadership role.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP and international statutory reporting; experience integrating financial statements and processes from M&A; experience owning tax reporting; high proficiency with NetSuite required.
- Industry: Experience with SaaS and 606 strongly preferred.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Able to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and outside parties to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Additional Details
This role will receive a competitive salary + bonus + benefits. The salary for US-based employees located in the below markets may expect offers in the below ranges for this role.
US Annual Base Salary Range: $170,000 - $190,000 plus bonus program. A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s compensation, including a candidate’s professional background, experience, and location. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above based on these considerations.
Location: We are a hybrid work environment. This role can be remote or located in our Fort Collins office.
Travel: This position may require potential travel to international locations.
