Product Owner

Fort Collins, Colorado, United States

From maker to market, Encompass is revolutionizing how technology supports the modern beverage industry–from winemaking with our vintrace solution to beverage production and distribution with our Encompass solutions, we are unlocking new levels of growth and efficiency for our customers across the entire three-tier beverage supply chain.  Join our team of technology & beverage professionals as we drive innovation and modernization in one of the world’s oldest, and most passionate industries.

About the Role

You’re the kind of person who loves turning big ideas into tangible progress. As a Product Owner, you’ll be the tactical heartbeat of our product execution — translating strategy into action and ensuring every sprint moves us closer to delivering real value for our customers.

You’ll own the product backlog, define priorities, and partner closely with engineering, design, and stakeholders to bring clarity and momentum to everything we build. You’re the person people come to when they want to know what’s next, what’s ready, and why it matters.

What You’ll Do

Drive Execution & Prioritization

  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog to keep the roadmap aligned with strategic goals.

  • Write crisp, detailed user stories and acceptance criteria that guide engineering toward high-quality delivery.

  • Serve as the go-to decision-maker for tactical questions and feature tradeoffs.

  • Keep stakeholders informed, engaged, and aligned on what’s shipping next and why.

Support Go-to-Market Readiness

  • Create clear release notes, documentation, and enablement materials for internal and customer-facing teams.

  • Partner with Sales, RevOps, and Customer Success to ensure new features are launched successfully and supported effectively.

Lead Collaboration Across Teams

  • Run agile ceremonies for your team — from sprint planning and backlog grooming to daily standups and retrospectives.

  • Build strong relationships with engineering, QA, and design to keep delivery fast, focused, and transparent.

  • Spot blockers early, clear them quickly, and keep projects moving forward.

  • Work closely with other Product Owners to align priorities across teams.

Translate User Needs Into Product Impact

  • Use customer feedback, user personas, and data to shape and refine product requirements.

  • Track competitor features and identify opportunities to differentiate and improve.

  • Participate in win/loss reviews to close the loop on what’s working — and what’s not.

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of experience in SaaS product ownership, product management, or agile delivery roles.

  • Proven success managing a feature backlog, writing user stories, and facilitating agile ceremonies (Scrum or Kanban).

  • Strong communication skills — you can bridge conversations between technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • A natural ability to synthesize data and feedback into decisions that move the product forward.

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field such as business, engineering, or computer science.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience supporting SaaS integrations (ERP, CRM, e-commerce, or payments).

  • Exposure to Stripe Custom Connect.

  • Certifications like CSPO or PSPO (helpful but not required).

What Success Looks Like (First 6–12 Months)

  • You’ve built strong partnerships with Engineering, CS, and Implementation teams.

  • You’ve translated customer and stakeholder needs into clear, prioritized product requirements.

  • You’ve developed a deep understanding of our platform and are trusted as a key decision-maker in what we build next.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

At Encompass, you’ll join a team that blends creativity, collaboration, and craft. We believe great products are built when curious people work together — and we’re committed to giving you the space, autonomy, and support to do your best work.

You’ll have opportunities to shape not just what we build, but how we build it — helping drive a product that powers the global beverage industry.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
