Your Mission as Junior Accountant

The finance team at Energage is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual who is eager to grow in the field of finance and accounting. Whether you're a current student seeking real-world experience or a recent graduate ready to launch your career, this is a flexible opportunity designed for early-career professionals.

This role can be structured as either:

  • A full-time, entry-level accounting position
  • Or a part-time or full-time internship for current students

You’ll assist with a variety of accounting tasks while gaining hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to real business operations.

Accountability and Impact:
In this role, you’ll…

  • Respond to customer inquiries related to Accounts Receivable
  • Manage the collections process
  • Taking customer payments
  • Daily deposits
  • Monthly payment reconciliation
  • Following up on past-due invoices
  • Generate and send invoices in line with company practices
  • Prepare basic account variance analyses
  • Manage customer subscriptions and respond to internal/external inquiries
  • Assist sales representatives in creating subscription contracts that comply with billing procedures
  • Learn and use accounting software tools and systems
  • Support the internal operations team by providing excellent internal and external customer service

Role Structure: 

  • Internship Track: Flexible schedule, minimum 10–20 hours/week during school, up to 40 hours/week during breaks. All internships are paid and may lead to full-time opportunities.
  • Full-Time Track: 40 hours/week, with long-term growth potential.

Requirements for Junior Accountant position include:

  • A current student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field OR a recent graduate looking for an entry-level opportunity
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel (working knowledge expected from academic experience)
  • Eager to learn, take initiative, and work both independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment while balancing competing demands and deadlines 

Compensation for the Role: 

  • Internship track: Internship track: Paid hourly $20-24/per hour based on relevant experience
  • Full time track: Annual Base salary between $50,000-$60,000 based on relevant experience
