Deployment Manager
The Deployment Manager is a crucial content management role within the Team OMC for Mars, overseeing the organization, management, and deployment of Mars global brand campaigns and assets.
We’re seeking a highly organized and strategic candidate who can work directly with the Agency account, production, and client teams during the development of assets across dozens of creative campaigns and is ultimately responsible for the deployment, organization, tracking, and usage of these assets.
The ideal candidate is a hybrid thinker who can work flexibly and efficiently with a suite of business software (Microsoft Office, Google docs, Smartsheets, Adstream) and the Client-side digital asset management (DAM) platform, while maintaining a creative and strategic eye on the creative content itself to track talent, usage and business implications effectively.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaboration During Content Creation / Production - Involvement early in the creative campaign development process, ensuring the Account and Production teams are building content that can be adapted and run in other Mars markets across the globe. This includes ensuring assets are cleared to run globally on broadcast television and ensuring assets can be built to the required specifications for global adaptation.
- Agency Partner Management - Organize and deliver global campaign materials to Mars’ localization agency, ensuring all materials are delivered to spec and all appropriate adaptation and usage information is summarized. Partner with the Localization agency to help solve adaptation questions.
- Maintenance of Omnicom-created assets on the Mars DAM (digital asset management) system, keeping the metadata up to date.
- Asset Management – Supervise off-shore Asset Librarians who will innput, track and maintain master asset logs for thousands of content assets & executions for the Mars brands.
- Talent Usage – Work with business affairs and talent managers to forecast annual talent usage costs for every brand. Responsible for providing rights usage quotations, and controlling the rights and reports across teams, both internally and Client-side. Proactively flag talent usage expirations, manage usage extension process, and partner with agency talent teams to build annual talent budget forecasts.
- Asset Trafficking - Provide trafficking (resupply) instructions for any non-new US creative campaigns based on agreed monthly media plans.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Sharepoint, Smartsheet, Google Docs
- Ability to review/view files in Adobe Photoshop & InDesign
- Ability to learn and become expert in using Client Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in Account Management and/or Project management within an in-house or a creative agency environment is preferred. Related experience will also be considered.
- Comfortable interacting with multiple stakeholders daily across Mars’s global client teams, the Omnicom network, and Mars’ greater agency ecosystem.
- Experience in Global content development is a plus.
- An understanding of content production and working knowledge of the regular processes of the agency, including the development of content across all media, primarily focused on broadcast, digital, social and print.
- Strong appreciation for and knowledge of creative, design, and advertising outputs coupled with an understanding of branding and applying brand guidelines.
