About the Position

This role reports to the Solutions VP (APAC). The main responsibility is to lead, manage, and operate the Pre-sales activities for Energy Exemplar's in the India region. The Head of Solutions (India) is expected to assist with the entire process, from pre-sales, sales, training, and implementation of energy management and optimisation solutions.

The Head of Solutions (India) is responsible for developing and implementing strategies that aim to drive business growth and innovation in the region. To achieve this, they work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to plan and implement processes supporting service delivery and product innovation. They also collaborate with the VP Solutions - APAC to identify and prioritize strategic business opportunities in the region.


Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

  • 10 to 15+ years of experience with Energy Modeling and Power Market Analysis
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a similar industry position
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience working with PLEXOS or similar simulation software tool
  • Demonstrated experience in building fundamental energy models including Electricity Markets, Gas Systems, Renewable Energy, and emerging technologies like Hydrogen and Ammonia
  • Strong delivery record on projects in the areas of net-zero, decarbonization and solutions for new energy technologies
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate in multiple languages is beneficial
  • High level of emotional intelligence
  • Advanced knowledge of energy markets and associated economics
  • Ability to communicate complex subject matter in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Top-down approach to problem solving with ability to see the big picture
  • Strong interpersonal presence and skills with demonstrated ability to build rapport
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively
  • Self-driven, results-orientated with a position outlook and focus on quality
  • Sense of urgency for individual, team and region goal achievement

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, energy economics, operations research or mathematics
  • Master’s or PhD in a relevant field would be desirable but is not essential

 

Key Accountabilities & Duties

  • Build a high-performance Solutions team in India, comprising of Energy and Data Analysts.
  • Build an environment that supports true innovation, thought leadership and best practice sharing.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to the Solutions team based on knowledge of industry and vertical market trends, regional business economics and strategic issues.
  • Create, implement, and maintain an opportunity support plan for all existing and new accounts including marketing support activities, pre-sales demos, proof of concepts and implementation projects. It is expected that the plan should support the India Sales team in coordination and allocation of resources to drive optimal results
  • Engage with high-level customer and partner decision makers to understand customer business issues and bring the right resources to develop , propose and implement sound technical solutions.
  • Lead a team that is focused on product solution development, implementation, training and solving complex problems while managing all people leadership operational matters such as performance reviews, goal tracking, leave requests, etc.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders from across the business to support the end-to-end process from sales through to delivery ensuring robust processes and procedures are in place for seamless delivery of Energy Exemplar’s services.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers to facilitate ongoing flow of information concerning current and new solution needs, product development initiatives and market conditions that impact solution and product development.
  • Develop and provide guidance and direction on technical account strategies that align to customer business requirements and goals. Work closely with the regional and global leadership team, product management, product marketing and engineering to support strategic projects.
