About the Position
This is a key sales and client support role working with a team of laser focused professionals who are introducing Energy Exemplar to new organizations across APAC region. This position is an autonomous role working closely with all sales leads and VP of Commercial in APAC to build the region. We will provide you with the knowledge and tools necessary for building not only a successful career, but also a platform of relationships and connections that will carry you into the future.
Using your knowledge, interpersonal skills, energy, and great personality you will interact with these people, discuss challenges in their organization, and introduce solutions that will simplify their jobs, save money, and make them more energy efficient. This role requires a highly intelligent self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a ton of good energy.
The Sales Development Representative should have business development experience to serve energy/Power sector in APAC. You will spend your days talking to and building relationships with various levels of authority ranging from Ministry , Govt Stake holders , IPPs , Oil and Gas Companies , System operators, Regulator , Policy Makers, C- Level and user/Analyst level . The Sales Development Representative will use a variety of outbound prospecting tools to meet their objectives including outbound phone calls, emails, virtual and in-person events, connection through social media, etc. They will call upon senior level managers and at times government officials and must be comfortable working with top leadership contacts. Success will be measured based upon conversion of rates from inbound and outbound leads to opportunities in salesforce. This role works in close collaboration with a team of technical subject matter experts, analysts, and sales engineers throughout Energy Exemplar’s global team. The position is supported by strong training, coaching, and mentoring and provides opportunity for professional growth, compensation growth and career advancement.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Developing sales strategies to draw in new potential customers.
- Create target prospect lists and nurture existing lead database.
- Initiating contact with potential customers through cold-calling or responding to inquiries generated from Website enquiries.
- Creating relationships with customers to identify their potential needs and qualify their interests and viability to drive sales.
- Moving solid leads through the sales funnel, connecting them to a salesperson, and arranging online or in-person meetings, emails, or phone calls.
- Following-up with potential customers who expressed interest but did not purchase any goods or services.
- Collaborating with sales executives to ensure the company's goals and targets are met.
- Understands how to use Salesforce and HubSpot and how to manage pipeline and opportunities.
- Take ownership of pipeline quality and transparency for assigned sales areas
- Ability to work with Sales to set up online and offline events to support market awareness.
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree. Preferably in Business, or Energy-related fields.
- Experience in a SaaS Sales or Sales Development role.
- Experience with platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot and ZoomInfo may be advantageous.
- Successful completion of course in sales techniques, marketing, and communication may be advantageous.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, teamworking, and customer service skills
- Good time management and analytical skills
- Attend and support internal and external events in APAC from Energy Exemplar to generate and record leads
- Good telephone etiquette and computer literacy skills
- Fluent in English, ability to speak other languages is favourable
