About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate, strategic, and creative UX Design Manager with deep product design expertise and strong hands-on skills in both design and research. In this role, you will lead and contribute directly to the creation of highly usable, intuitive, and emotionally engaging experiences for our energy analytics and simulation software.

Working from a foundation of user-centered design, you’ll mentor a talented team of designers while also rolling up your sleeves to design key features, conduct research, and validate solutions. You'll collaborate closely with product management and agile development teams to ensure your design vision is implemented and delivers measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate complex business problems and user needs into elegant, scalable design solutions.
  • Take a hands-on role in design execution—including creating wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes for new features and workflows.
  • Independently conduct user research activities such as interviews, surveys, field studies, and usability tests to uncover insights that inform design.
  • Lead and mentor a global team of UX designers, encouraging craft excellence and continuous learning.
  • Define and execute UX strategies across the product lifecycle—from discovery to delivery and iteration.
  • Partner with product managers, developers, and domain experts to align business goals with user needs.
  • Drive the creation and maintenance of design systems, pattern libraries, and documentation to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops and design critiques that drive alignment and clarity.
  • Present design concepts, research findings, and usability test results to stakeholders, executives, and customers.
  • Champion accessible, inclusive design and advocate for user experience best practices across the organization.
  • Mentor junior designers and interns, nurturing skill growth and professional development.

Qualifications

  • A compelling portfolio showcasing hands-on UX design work and problem-solving across complex applications.
  • Strong user research capabilities, with experience planning and conducting qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Deep understanding of interaction design principles, human-centered design methodologies, and information architecture.
  • Advanced proficiency in tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC, Axure, or equivalent.
  • Experience prototyping and validating complex interactions and user workflows.
  • Attention to detail, strong aesthetic sensibility, and the ability to synthesize technical requirements into intuitive designs.
  • 8+ to 12 years of UX design experience, including 2–3 years in a leadership or mentoring capacity.
  • Experience working on enterprise software, ideally in technical, data-heavy, or regulated domains.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Visual Design, Industrial Design, or related discipline—or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Curiosity, empathy, and a passion for improving human-computer interaction.
  • A collaborative mindset and a sincere interest in the energy market and sustainability.
