About the Position

Reporting to the Software Engineering Manager and as a member of the Development team at IDC, the Lead Software Engineer is responsible for delivering quality and performant software and design to handle the vast array of use cases that our customers have today. This role is responsible for Developing Software Solutions by learning information needs, discussing with managers, studying systems flow, data usage, finding problem areas and coming up with solutions & following the software development lifecycle.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for technical development of multiple projects & products
  • Working on data structures & algorithms, time & space complexity
  • Transforming Logic to Code • Designing and developing UI front end Technologies.
  • Working with multiple projects and NPM packages
  • Ensuring high code quality and higher code coverage through unit tests and e2e tests
  • Handling large data operations ensuring optimal performance on web
  • Writing secure and compliant code using best practices for ensuring security on browsers.
  • DevOps transformation using Agile and SCRUM methodologies.
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Take part in regular engineering discussions and provide valuable inputs around project architecture and new technologies.
  • Work alongside other team members & Leaders to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

  • 8–10 years of experience in frontend development, with at least 2+ years in a technical leadership or lead engineer role
  • Proven expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript and functional programming.
  • Hands on experience in design and development on UI front end technologies.
  • Hands on experience with E2E frameworks.
  • Hands-on experiences with UNIT testing frameworks.
  • Good exposure to responsive and scalable web application development using HTML 5, CSS3, JavaScript.
  • Experience in modern frontend frameworks like Vue 3, React, Angular etc.
  • Experience in working with UI design systems and UI component libraries.
  • Deep understanding of web application security best practices.
  • Strong logical, analytics and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to work effectively across team boundaries.
  • Attention to details.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Education:

  • Engineering graduate or higher.
