About the Opportunity
EnergyHub is looking to hire a Senior Energy Data Analyst to join our utility data services team. The primary purpose of the utility data services team is to provide customized analytics dashboards, analysis and reports to our electric utility clients in order to help them better understand and improve their thermostat, electric vehicle, battery and commercial/industry demand flexibility programs. We are looking for a business intelligence expert who has a combination of strong technical analytics skills (SQL, python and dashboard development), excellent communication skills, and an understanding of the electricity industry.
Main Responsibilities: What you’ll do
- Work with clients and internal stakeholders to define the scope of potentially ill-defined BI projects
- Estimate the effort required to deliver client-initiated BI projects
- Work within our Snowflake data warehouse using SQL and dbt to collect data needed to deliver analytics results
- Develop reports, dashboards, and data exports that exceed client expectations for data quality and insightfulness
- Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to translate lessons learned from BI projects into improved products and internal business insights
- Prepare reports for clients with high quality text and graphics
- Develop dashboards and reports for internal company stakeholders to assist with business decision making
- Join client meetings to discuss new projects, present results, and collect client feedback
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience: What you need
- Experience delivering high quality analytics using SQL, Python and BI dashboards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A commitment to accurate data analysis and credibility
- A passion for enabling a carbon free, distributed energy future
Preferred Skills and Experience: Nice-to-haves
- Experience performing data transformation work using Snowflake and DBT
- Experience with BI dashboard tools such as Sigma, Tableau, and Power BI
- Experience working with data from energy efficiency or demand response programs in the electricity industry

The salary range of this opportunity is listed below and is determined within a range based on factors including qualifications, location and experience. This allows opportunity for growth and development within the role. The salary offered is part of a total compensation package.
Pay Range
$120,000 - $140,000 USD
