Building Electrification Project Manager I (Remote - US)

We are currently seeking a full-time Energy Efficiency Project Manager specializing in Building Electrification to join our Energy Efficiency Programs Department. This role will be primarily focused on supporting the implementation of the Technology and Equipment for Clean Heating (TECH) program, a multi-year, statewide market transformation program focused on residential building electrification in California. Candidates should have experience working on complex projects, synthesizing data trends into larger project takeaways, and identifying and implementing process improvements. Candidates should also have familiarity with key policies and decision makers influencing the building electrification landscape, as well as the high-level strategies to achieving California’s building electrification goals.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Overall direction, management, quality control and completion of project deliverables
- Managing project budgets and tasks with minimal oversight
- Facilitating the progress of multiple tasks and bringing them to conclusion
- Communicating project progress to management and clients
- Interacting with customers, program participants, sub-contractors, clients, and external collaborators
- Conducting data analysis, market research, and literature searches
- Tracking industry trends and other market changes that impact energy efficiency
- Organizing and facilitating conference calls and collaboration sessions
- Contribute to new program design development and process refinement
- Audit project data to find patterns, irregularities, and other trends for deeper investigation
- Investigate and escalate customer support cases to proactively resolve with management
Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree preference being towards engineering, data science, environmental science or business
- A minimum of 2 years of professional work experience
- Familiarity with energy efficient HVAC, water heating, and/or related technologies
- Flexibility and adaptability in regard to project focus
- Demonstrated ability to conduct detailed technical and quantitative analysis
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to interact professionally with clients and present in the primary role
- Extensive experience using Microsoft Office
- Ability to work and thrive independently
- Outstanding quality control practices
- A basic excel test will be required during the interview process
The salary range for this role is $69,000–$79,000, with a target compensation of $79,000 based on experience and qualifications
Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

Office Locations and a Remote Workforce
Energy Solutions operates as a predominantly remote workforce with offices in six different locations. Employees who reside within 40 miles of an office (except New York) will be assigned to that location, though in-office attendance requirements may vary by team.
