Mission

Engine is building the leading work travel platform for modern businesses. As a Staff/Principal Product Manager focused on Monetization & Growth, you will own the end-to-end experience of how our supplier partners activate, configure, and succeed with monetization products across the platform.

This role is not about maintaining an ad system—it’s about designing and scaling revenue-generating products. You’ll be responsible for driving meaningful revenue growth by increasing adoption of existing monetization offerings and inventing new ways for suppliers to reach demand, expand into new verticals, and unlock incremental value.

You will operate with high autonomy in an environment that rewards ownership, sound judgment, and comfort with ambiguity.

 

What You’ll Do

Own End-to-End Monetization Experiences

  • Own the full lifecycle of supplier monetization experiences—from activation and onboarding to campaign configuration, optimization, and outcomes.
  • Design intuitive workflows that make it easy for suppliers to understand value, launch campaigns, and scale spend over time.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Supply, and Partner Success to drive adoption and ensure monetization products deliver real business impact.

Drive Revenue Growth Across the Platform

  • Identify and execute high-leverage opportunities to grow monetization revenue across existing and new verticals (e.g., lodging, groups, flights, cars, and emerging supply categories).
  • Balance product-led and sales-assisted growth strategies to maximize adoption and efficiency.
  • Own clear success metrics tied to revenue, activation, retention, and expansion.

Invent New Monetization Strategies & Formats

  • Proactively explore and validate new monetization models, ad formats, and placements beyond existing offerings.
  • Partner with Design, Engineering, and Data to prototype, test, and launch net-new revenue streams.
  • Think beyond incremental optimization—this role is expected to shape the future of how Engine monetizes its supplier base.

Lead Through Influence & Ambiguity

  • Operate as a high-agency owner with broad decision-making responsibility.
  • Drive alignment across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Data, and Supply—often without clear precedent or perfect information.
  • Make principled trade-offs between growth, experience quality, and long-term platform health.
  • Serve as a thought partner and informal leader to other PMs working adjacent to growth and monetization.

What You’ll Bring

Experience

  • 7+ years of product management experience, with 3+ years owning monetization, growth, or revenue-driving product surfaces.
  • Experience working in marketplaces, platforms, or B2B products where revenue is closely tied to product experience.
  • Proven ability to take ambiguous problems from concept → launch → scale.

Product & Business Judgment

  • Strong intuition for what drives supplier adoption and willingness to pay.
  • Comfortable owning outcomes, not just roadmaps.
  • Able to think in systems: pricing, incentives, UX, sales motion, and operational impact.

Data & Technical Fluency

  • Comfortable partnering with data and analytics teams to define success metrics and interpret performance.
  • Familiarity with experimentation, funnels, and optimization frameworks.
  • Experience working with advertising or monetization systems is helpful, but deep ad tech specialization is not required.

Mindset

  • High ownership, high agency, and comfortable operating in ambiguity.
  • Bias toward action with a strong sense of accountability for results.
  • Collaborative, low-ego, and effective at influencing across disciplines.
  • Motivated by impact, autonomy, and building durable businesses—not just shipping features.

Compensation
Our compensation packages are based on several factors, including your experience, expertise, and location. In addition to a competitive base salary, total compensation may include equity and/or variable pay (OTE). Your recruiter will share your complete compensation package as you move through the process.

Base Pay Range

$177,800 - $246,100 USD
