We’re seeking a Senior Data Engineering Manager to lead the re-architecture of our data warehouse and drive the expansion of our data platform. This is a high-impact opportunity to build scalable infrastructure that integrates multiple data sources into unified, accessible views. Over the next few months, the focus will be on migrating data pipelines to a modern architecture, improving governance, and enabling better internal data sharing. We’re looking for a strategic leader with deep experience in tools like Snowflake, Airflow, dbt, and Airbyte, who can guide both the technical direction and the growth of a high-performing team.

Your Mission:

  • Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle of data engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and technical excellence.
  • Implement and refine engineering best practices using agile methodologies while continuously improving workflows, tools, and processes.
  • Act as a bridge between engineering and other teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on priorities. Translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for business stakeholders.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating innovative solutions that enhance data infrastructure, scalability, and performance.

What You’ll Bring to Engine:
We’re looking for someone who’s ready to make an impact and grow alongside us:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in engineering, with at least 5 years in a management role. Proven track record of successfully leading data engineering teams and delivering complex projects.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of data engineering, preferably with experience in Snowflake, Airflow, and data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, and Domo. Strong understanding of data pipelines, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  • Leadership & Performance Management: Ability to manage and scale a team in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Proven experience in performance management, mentorship, and career development.
  • Problem-Solving & Communication: Strong analytical thinking with excellent decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Mindset: A strategic and results-driven approach to engineering and team leadership. Adaptability and a continuous improvement mindset.
