About the Role

Engine's Growth team is the engine behind our acquisition, activation, and expansion strategies across 20,000+ companies. As a Growth Generalist, you'll be the connective tissue that keeps our growth machine running. Part project manager, part growth operator, part creative problem-solver. This role touches nearly every growth initiative across Engine's entire funnel, from top-of-funnel acquisition to product activation and expansion.

This is the perfect role for someone who thrives in organized chaos, has a bias toward automation, and loves being the person who makes things happen. You'll work on everything from building AI-powered marketing tools to shipping direct mail campaigns to quarterbacking major product launches.

Your Mission

You will ensure the Growth team operates at maximum velocity by automating workflows, managing cross-functional projects, and building the systems and tools that multiply our impact. You'll be the person who turns ambitious growth ideas into executed reality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Growth Ops: Build and manage automated systems for marketing request intake and creative production, reducing bottlenecks and increasing team throughput.
  • AI Tooling Development: Work with Gemini and Claude to build custom tools and automations that enhance the Growth team's capabilities—from content generation to data analysis to campaign optimization.
  • Campaign Execution: Own run-rate growth campaigns including direct mail, email sequences, and other channels that drive consistent pipeline and activation.
  • Product Launch Operations: Quarterback new product launches by coordinating timelines, aligning stakeholders (Product, Marketing, Sales), and ensuring all growth tactics deploy on schedule.
  • Project Management: Track progress across dozens of concurrent growth initiatives, holding team members accountable to deadlines while identifying and removing blockers.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously identify opportunities to automate manual work, streamline workflows, and increase team efficiency through better systems and tools.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Creative, Product, Analytics, and Sales to ensure growth initiatives have the resources and coordination needed to succeed.

Qualifications

  • Organized Operator: 3-5 years in growth, marketing operations, consulting, or project management roles. You're known for keeping complex projects on track and holding others accountable.
  • Automation Mindset: Strong technical fluency with a bias toward building systems that scale. Comfortable working with AI tools, no-code platforms, and APIs to solve problems.
  • Creative Problem-Solver: You find non-obvious solutions and aren't afraid to experiment with unconventional tactics to move metrics.
  • Tool Proficiency: Experience with project management tools (Asana, Notion, Linear), marketing automation platforms, and data tools. Bonus for AI tool experience (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini).
  • Communication Skills: Clear written and verbal communication; ability to synthesize complex information and keep stakeholders aligned.
  • Self-Starter: High agency and initiative. You see what needs to happen and make it happen without waiting for direction.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in B2B SaaS or marketplace companies
  • Background in growth or performance marketing teams
  • Technical skills (light coding, SQL, API integrations)
  • Experience with Webflow, Customer.io, or Amplitude

Tech Stack Proficiency

Project management tools (Asana, Notion), AI platforms (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini), marketing automation tools, Google Workspace, light technical skills
