Receptionist

About the Role

Engineers Gate (EG) is a leading quantitative investment company focused on computer-driven trading in global financial markets.  We are a team of researchers, engineers, and financial industry professionals using sophisticated statistical models to analyze data and identify predictive signals to generate superior investment returns.

The Receptionist is a vital member of the Administrative Support Team and is responsible for representing EG in a professional and courteous manner while welcoming visitors in person or on the phone.  The Receptionist will monitor all front desk operations including visitor check-in, phone/conference room management, and mail distribution.  In addition, the Receptionist will handle various administrative and office management responsibilities to ensure that the day-to-day requirements of the office are being met.  The ideal candidate will enjoy interacting with people and demonstrate an ability to maintain composure while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily coverage of front desk including greeting guests, monitoring phones and mail/delivery distribution
  • Office management including scheduling and maintaining conference rooms as well as inventory tracking, purchasing, and stocking of pantry and office supplies
  • Ad-hoc projects as needed
  • Administrative Support for Management Team as needed

Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative/customer service type role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

The salary for this role is anticipated to be between $55,000 to $70,000.  This range does not include any potential bonus amounts, other forms of compensation, or benefits offered.  Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s skills, qualifications, education and experience.
