Position description:
An exciting opportunity for an ambitious events marketer to join a fast-growing B2B professional intelligence and global events provider. Taking responsibility for marketing a global and world-leading portfolio of events, you will utilise your marketing skills and knowledge of related systems, processes and marketing channels to drive delegate sales.
You will be working as part of an events marketing team of 3 people, and a wider global marketing team of 26, with opportunities to develop and take on interesting projects. Combined with a strong company purpose to help and enable businesses to create safer, more sustainable products.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Managing and running marketing campaigns for Chemical Watch Events & Training, including conferences, training, eLearning, webinars and membership solutions to achieve revenue targets.
- Implementing and testing a full mix of digital marketing channels to maximise the effectiveness of campaigns, including email, social media, PPC and content marketing.
- Copywriting, editing and proofreading - emails, landing pages, brochures, social media, etc.
- Web authoring/editing/publishing via our website and email marketing platforms.
- Researching and defining targeted lists and segments for sales and marketing campaigns.
- Reporting and analysis of campaigns to ensure ROI.
- Taking a proactive role in improving campaigns and identifying new opportunities such as offers, new channels, audiences and segments.
- Staying up to date on the latest marketing techniques and trends.
Your skills and qualifications:
- At least 2 years’ demonstrable marketing experience working in a similar role (ideally events marketing) within a digital marketing team, preferably supported by a relevant degree or diploma.
- Strong experience in email marketing plus familiarity with other marketing channels including social media, content marketing, webinars, PPC, display, conferences and partnerships.
- Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills, and high attention to detail.
- Practical experience using CRM, CMS and other marketing systems (email, automation, data).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Good organisation and planning skills.
- Ability to pick up and work with technical subject matter.
- Ability to travel to Bath once a month for team meetings.
