Are you ready to lead a dynamic IT Operations team and drive service excellence? As our Corporate IT Operations Manager, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations, manage and develop your team, and ensure our IT services are robust, secure, and future-ready. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our IT Operations roadmap, managing budgets, and delivering first-class support to Enhesa staff and visitors.

Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to work from our headquarters in Avenue Louise, Brussels, Belgium.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Enabling the Team

  • Managing the IT Operations team to enable it as follows:
  • Bringing focus:
    • Removing blockers so the team aren't distracted or prevented from doing their work
    • Acting as decision owner - making quick, "safe to try" decisions to keep the team moving
    • Taking responsibility for the admin work needed to keep a team running
    • Protecting the team from outside influences and distractions
  • Establish clear objectives and priorities for the team and monitor their progress
  • Establish clear roles and responsibilities within the team and between the team and other supporting teams
  • Facilitating communication between the IT Operations team and key business stakeholders, and other teams within IT
  • Encouraging and supporting the team's continuous self-reflection and self-improvement.
  • Encouraging and providing space for the team to take the initiative
  • Promoting high quality analysis and problem solving
  • Set the team's roadmap and direction and be responsible for project management
  • Facilitating the majority of the team's ceremonies and meetings
  • Coaching the team on Agile and Scrum best practices
  • Facilitating high quality communication between team members
  • Establishing a culture of trust and excellence within their team

 

Enabling the Individual

  • Enabling individuals in the IT Operations team through regular 121’s;
  • Coaching and mentoring individuals to grow and develop skills
  • Providing regular feedback to individuals and giving them space to provide their feedback
  • Undertaking regular performance reviews
  • Helping individuals to understand their career path and progress in their career

 

Enabling the Solution

  • Define the solutions and responsibilities that comprise the IT Operations Services
  • Lead the architectural design of the IT Operations Services.
  • Ensure the IT Operations Services are managed, maintained and upgraded.
  • Ensure IT Operations Services are always up and accessible and implement necessary redundancy, backup and disaster recovery procedures to minimise downtime.
  • Ensure that the IT Operations Services adhere to security standards and policies as determined by the Enhesa Security Team.
  • Setting and monitoring IT Operation Services performance metrics
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Ensure continuous presence during business hours of a team member in all our main offices, to serve the internal customers
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts ensuring budgets are met
  • Keep up to date with technological advancements and upgrades and stay at the forefront of new trends and emerging technologies relating to IT Operations Services to ensure Enhesa stays competitive.

Enabling the Business

  • Develop, implement and monitor the service level agreements that underpin the delivery of the IT Operations Services.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure that there is a prioritized IT Operations vision and roadmap that meets their business objectives.
  • Regularly communicate project status, estimation of completion to production, and roadblocks to key stakeholders
  • Developing and implementing IT Policies and Procedures
  • Maintain a knowledge base that underpins self service

The above is not an exhaustive list of duties, and additional tasks may be required as the role evolves, in alignment with the organization’s overall business objectives or at the direction of the manager.

 

What to bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience managing IT Operations teams in a corporate environment across multiple offices
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Expertise in IT service management (ITIL), architecture, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Proven experience managing a team of engineers working on the MS Azure Platform.
  • Technical experience of Azure tools such as Exchange, Intune, SharePoint, Identity, Teams, Office 365.
  • Knowledge of Jira and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile.
