The Opportunity

This is an exciting time at Enigma. We’re on the cusp of releasing our next generation of small business intelligence products, built on years of insights and innovation in the space. We are seeking a curious and driven Product Analyst to join our team and help shape the direction of these products. Your research and analysis will be critical in uncovering market opportunities, informing product strategy, and guiding key decisions that directly impact our customers.

The Role

As a Product Analyst, you will play a critical role in helping us unlock the value of our small and medium business data. You will work closely with Product, Sales, Customer Success, Engineering, and Data Science teams to showcase the power of our data through marketing outreach, sales conversations, and customer pilot projects.

In this multi-functional role, you will contribute to the continued development of our data products, support scalable analytics, and ensure the quality and reliability of our data. Your work will drive insights that inform product development and strengthen our Go-To-Market (GTM) efforts. You will also collaborate across teams to build data pipelines, validate new data sources, monitor key metrics, and deliver clear, actionable insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

What You'll Do

  • Own and lead data analysis projects to generate the insights that drive our product forward during rapid experimentation
  • Maintain and improve data quality while contributing to the development of new data features and attributes
  • Support scalable analytics by building data pipelines, dashboards, and internal reporting tools
  • Collaborate across teams to monitor key metrics, validate new data sources, detect anomalies
  • Deliver insights that support GTM and product development through thoughtful analysis of customer and business data
  • Gather and distill requirements from multiple stakeholders, plans analyses, and manages projects end-to-end with strong attention to detail
  • Explain and document findings clearly for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Thrive in high-performing, collaborative teams with short, high-impact research cycles

Our ideal candidate

  • Has strong analytical and quantitative skills and the ability to extract, manipulate and analyze data
  • Brings strong business intuition to make sense of complex business data
  • Has proficiency in data wrangling tools (especially SQL) and a keen eye for detail when analyzing and manipulating data
  • Has academic training in a quantitative discipline or brings 2+ years of industry experience (including new graduates with relevant project or internship experience)  in statistics, experimental design, and data analysis
  • Brings strong business intuition to translate complex data into actionable insights and data-driven decisions
  • Brings empathy to see things through the eyes of multiple stakeholders, such as prospective customers, journalists, small business owners as well as technical and non-technical colleagues to create outputs addressing their needs
  • Is a self-starter and capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively
  • Brings a thirst to learn ways (methods, technologies, etc.) to solve problems

Bonus points if you

  • Prior experience with git repo, data pipeline, data products and/or a strong understanding of machine learning concepts
  • Familiarity with the world of enterprise software, data-as-a-service, or business intelligence tools

Salary range: $80,000-$120,000

A note on salary ranges: we pride ourselves on paying competitively for our size and industry. Salary is one piece of a total Enigma compensation package that includes additional benefits and opportunities. All of our compensation packages include equity because we believe 100% of Enigma employees should have the option to purchase ownership in the company and benefit from the value we’re creating together.
