As the leader of the Marketing group for Pangea, you will be responsible for the development and execution of all marketing strategies, including all digital, social, traditional and content-related marketing efforts.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned marketing executive with a robust background in developing and implementing high-impact marketing strategies. The Head of Marketing will possess deep expertise in performance marketing, traditional marketing channels, affiliate marketing, and advanced tracking and reporting methodologies. This role demands a visionary leader who can oversee numerous high-stakes projects and programs with precision.

As the Head of Marketing, you will: 

  • Serve as the primary architect and leader of the marketing function, accountable for performance across all media spend, including search, social, SEO, TV, radio, print, and promotional partnerships.
  • Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Mentor and coach team members, identifying opportunities for professional growth and ensuring effective collaboration.
  • Own customer acquisition, driving the strategy and execution for large-scale acquisition and conversion campaigns.
  • Oversee comprehensive retention-marketing programs aimed at increasing customer lifetime value, with a focus on lifecycle marketing and CRM growth.
  • Manage and refine Pangea’s marketing testing process to expand the marketing budget efficiently across new tactics and channels.
  • Leverage advanced Martech solutions and vendor partnerships to enhance marketing capabilities and outcomes.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to make strategic decisions, with a deep understanding of Pangea’s customer journey and multi-channel attribution.
  • Propose and track meaningful incentive programs to drive faster adoption and accelerate word-of-mouth awareness.
  • Report on key performance metrics, ensuring alignment with organizational KPIs. Manage the company’s marketing budget and forecasting with a strategic focus.
  • Understand Pangea’s different segments of customers and constantly pursue new tactics based on their behavior, purchase habits, pain points, and potential areas of differentiation.
  • Plan, implement, and monitor integrated marketing communications campaigns, ensuring optimized media spend and enhanced brand reach and impact.
  • Be the key contact for all creative and media agency relationships and oversee and lead creative development and effectiveness tracking across all communication mediums to support growth and overall business objectives.
  • Liaise with other internal teams to guide a unified approach to customer service, distribution, etc., that meets market demands and reinforces the brand.
  • Integrate comprehensive marketing strategies and communication programs to ensure consistent branding and messaging, maximizing the marketing budget’s impact.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 15+ years of experience including leading large internal multi-disciplinary marketing organizations with large budgets to achieve long-term strategic goals.
  • Proven track record of building, developing, and motivating a marketing team in a high-growth tech company.
  • The proven propensity to “think like an owner”, operate like a P&L holder, and understand different business disciplines (IT, finance, etc.).
  • Expertise in developing, implementing, and communicating a comprehensive B2C marketing strategy across performance marketing, digital marketing, and branding.
  • Proven willingness and ability to be a relentless voice of the customer, representing the customers’ desires and needs, while maintaining business focus and effectiveness.
  • Proven expertise in the development and implementation of successful online marketing programs including SEO, SEM, and digital advertising.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the development and execution of successful targeted social media programs.
  • Proven ability to scale marketing budgets through flawless execution of iterative testing of new tactics and channels
  • Experience building and scaling a consumer brand.
  • Proven understanding of best practices, tools, and processes that enable development and analyses of marketing campaigns, the management of those campaigns, and the analytics for success. 

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience marketing a consumer payment product.
  • Experience building marketing programs for multicultural audiences.
