Environmental Chemist

We are currently seeking a full-time Environmental Chemist / Data Validator to work in any one of our U.S. office locations.  This is an excellent opportunity to join and grow EnSafe, getting involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients across the globe.

As an Environmental Chemist / Data Validator, you will provide chemistry and data validation support to multidisciplinary project teams. This is a key role in ensuring data quality and regulatory compliance within a culture that fuels creativity, encourages collaboration, and invests in your growth. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, you will:

• Perform data review, verification, validation, and usability assessments for environmental projects.
• Manage project tasks related to environmental analytical data.
• Coordinate with analytical laboratories on sampling events, analytical methods, and data deliverables.
• Support field teams in planning and executing sampling activities.
• Prepare technical documentation, including data validation reports, Sampling and Analysis Plans (SAPs), and Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs).
• Collaborate with internal technical teams and project managers.
• Manage and maintain project data within systems such as EQuIS, NIRIS, and FUDSChem.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related scientific discipline.
• 5+ years environmental data validation experience including demonstratable experience using USEPA National Functional Guidelines and DoD Validation Modules.
• Proficiency with environmental relational database management systems such as EQuIS or similar.
• Knowledge of Federal and State environmental regulatory requirements.
• Proficient computer literacy skills – including the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills – including giving and receiving constructive feedback.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a client-first mentality.

 Preferred Skills:

• Experience in environmental consulting and/or analytical laboratory setting.
