Position Description
ENSCO is seeking a Senior Project Manager to manage projects and programs offering engineering, testing, research and training services to the railway industry in the areas of track, rolling stock, signals and communications, and human factors.
Projects may involve a variety of efforts including
- Rolling stock testing such as ride quality, braking performance, noise/vibration levels and vehicle acceptance tests.
- Vehicle and track component evaluations
- Signal and communications testing
- Ergonomics and human factors
Participation in these efforts may include:
- Writing test plans, test reports and briefings
- Development of price quotes
- Coordination of logistics and on-site activities
- Oversight of profit and loss of projects
- Review of invoices
- Serving as a point of contact with internal and external project stakeholders
- Managing project teams including work assignments, budget management and administrative activities
Railroad regulations require that the selected candidate must pass an e-RAILSAFE security background check and online safety tests to work on railroad properties. Wearing safety equipment (hardhat, steel-toe boots, protective vest, and protective eyeglasses) when working on railroad properties is also a requirement. ENSCO will provide all necessary safety equipment.
Qualifications Required:
- BS degree in Engineering, or equivalent
- Min 5 years' experience
- Experience in railroad industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse interdisciplinary team
- Ability to build professional and courteous relationships with your colleagues and supervisors
- Must be able to safely climb a 15 foot high ladder to gain access to railroad cars
- Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to observe all safety and security procedures; determine appropriate action beyond guidelines; report potentially unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Qualifications Desired:
- MBA degree or other degree in a business or finance-related field.

$90,000 - $140,000 USD
