The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate has product marketing experience working collaboratively across Product, Commercial and Marketing functions within a FinTech organization, preferably with 3-D Secure or related e-commerce payments experience. They are comfortable engaging with collaborators across functions and at multiple levels throughout the business value chain (with technical, sales, marketing, operations and executives).
They especially have a knack for creating engaging content, messaging, and sales collateral that tells a story and accurately portrays technical product features and functionality in a way that is customer-friendly and speaks to our key personas. They provide clear communication and effective product presentations, enabling and energizing Sales and Partners to drive the compelling value proposition of products into the market, to prospects and existing customers.
The successful candidate will also enjoy collecting and synthesizing data and turning it into meaningful insights, helping to power conversations and market positioning.
The Product Marketing Manager is proactive rather than reactive, while still being responsive to custom requests. They are creative and curious, analytical and logical. They have excellent time management skills, able to juggle numerous projects at once. They know how to prioritize, and also know when competing priorities warrant asking for assistance to prioritize.
The Role
Your job will include being a product and market evangelist, translating technical information about features and functionality into key value drivers that our customers can understand, and enabling the sales and marketing teams with all the necessary information and content they need to function optimally. To succeed in this role, you will need expert understanding of our product, our customers, and our target market. This role requires alignment across marketing, sales, product and directs our GTM strategy and implementation for 3-D Secure product lines.
Responsibilities
- Product positioning and messaging: Assist in developing product positioning and messaging that differentiates our payment products (3-D Secure Suite) in the market, utilizing your knowledge of who our buyers are, the problems they face, and the value our products provide.
- Solution evangelist: Be a content contributor, spokesperson and thought leader. Help to generate awareness and create demand for Entersekt solutions through modern, digital marketing channels as well as in-person events.
- Sales enablement: Own sales enablement, supporting the sales team through a complex sales process. Communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and assist with product and messaging training and tools to use in the sales process. These tools may include PowerPoint presentations, infographics, brochures, competitor cheat sheets, and customer success stories.
- Product launches: Plan and coordinate the launch of new products and releases (upgrades) and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plans.
- Market intelligence: Have a constant understanding of market trends and dynamics. Be the expert on our buyers, how they buy, and what their buying criteria are. Be the expert on our competition and how to differentiate ourselves from them.
- Demand generation: Advise the marketing team on the campaign topics needed to educate our customers and assist in providing quality content to support these campaigns such as white papers, eBooks, blog posts, webinars video content, podcasts, and more.
- Research, gather information and understand new and existing Entersekt products in order to extract the value proposition, competitive differentiation, and benefit to our clients and customers.
- Gather information from multiple stakeholders to help establish data-driven proof points to provide support with ROI messages and tools.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings between Product, the Commercial organization and Marketing to translate technical details into market-usable artifacts, and to ensure alignment.
- Create product and value-centric copy for regional, partner and broad-based marketing campaigns.
- Understand the roles of different teams involved in the execution of a GTM plan and manage their outputs to planned timelines and sensitive to inter- and co-dependencies.
- Collaborate with regional Sales leads to create and deliver essential collateral to support the products, including one-pagers, FAQs, solution sheets and customized sales decks.
- Create value-centric product presentations utilizing knowledge and insights obtained from Product, Sales and market research.
- Through collaboration with Product Managers, communicate the value of new products via information sharing sessions.
- Work with Product Managers and Sales to gather information and insights from customers.
- Work with the CTO office and market intelligence to gather and present relevant market data.
Skills and Experience
Successful candidates for this role will generally possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a similar related field.
- At least 3+ years of product marketing or go-to-market experience. Experience working in B2B2C Fintech space, preferably payments and ideally 3-D Secure.
- Proven success developing and executing go-to-market plans for SaaS or cloud services.
- Domain experience in financial services, payments and fraud management highly preferred.
- A technical background. Comfortable learning to navigate the user experience with our products.
- A commercially oriented outlook.
- Excellent writing and content management skills.
- Highly proficient in using PowerPoint, especially designing, storyboarding and logically structuring presentations that tell a story. Proficient with all Microsoft Office 365 tools.
- Familiar with value proposition design and product messaging frameworks in a technology context.
- Experience using Adobe or a similar creative suite of products (nice to have).
