Job Position Summary: 

The Data Analyst plays a key role in supporting client engagement by assisting with the collection, processing, and analysis of data to enable informed, data-driven decisions. This position offers an opportunity to develop foundational skills in data querying, visualization, and report, with a strong focus on learning and improving over time. In this role, the Data Analyst will assist in creating reports and visual dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and completeness, and supporting the optimization of data workflows. They will collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams to deliver insights and drive business decisions that support operational goals and client success. 

Responsibilities and Duties: 

  • Data Collection & Querying – Assist in gathering data from various sources, including databases, APIs, spreadsheets, and external platforms (e.g., Brightcove, Adobe). Use SQL or other query languages to efficiently pull data and ensure data is relevant and accessible. 
  • Data Preparation & Management – Support in organizing and handling structured and unstructured datasets. Ensure data integrity by cleaning and transforming data as needed. Optimize data workflows to streamline analysis and maintain accuracy, consistency, and timeliness. 
  • Data Curation – Identify and resolve data errors, handle missing values, and format data to ensure it is properly structured for analysis. 
  • Critical Thinking & Analytical Skills – Apply logical and analytical thinking to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within the data, and extract actionable insights to inform business decisions. 
  • Automation of Tasks – Assist in basic scripting and utilizing automation tools to streamline data processing, reporting, or alerting. Help reduce manual workload by automating repetitive tasks. 
  • Effective Communication – Translate complex data analyses into clear, digestible insights for non-technical stakeholders. Use visual storytelling (e.g., charts, graphs) to effectively communicate findings. 
  • Adherence to Client Standards – Ensure adherence to client-mandated protocols, standards, and best practices, including professionalism in client interactions, representation of the company, and meeting etiquette. 
  • Documentation – Maintain clear, organized documentation for data sources, queries, dashboards, and analyses to ensure transparency, reproducibility, and knowledge sharing across teams. 
  • Additional Responsibilities – Perform other tasks as required to support the team and contribute to the broader success of the organization, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and client needs. 

Qualifications: 

  • Knowledge of SQL and experience working with spreadsheets or data visualization tools such as Power BI. Familiarity with additional tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel) is a plus. 
  • Ability to quickly learn new tools, software, and processes in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity. 
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively under supervision while meeting deadlines. 
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Passion for growing technical and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to learning and self-improvement. 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and contribute to collective goals. 

Education and Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (such as Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or Statistics) or equivalent practical experience. 
  • Experience in the technology professional services industry is preferred. 
  • Strategic thinking and demonstrated ability to deliver on client goals. 
  • Track record of successfully being a part of project teams, and initiatives in a fast-paced, growing organization.
