Job Position Summary:

The Financial and Operational Reporting Lead plays a pivotal role in the operations, reporting, payroll processing for the organization. This position requires high attention to detail, strong analytical skills, understanding of financial principles, and payroll compliance. The primary responsibilities of the Financial and Operational Reporting Lead are to review and analyze trends in financial and operational data, prepare and review KPI reporting, provide insights and oversight regarding treasury/investments, as well as support financial and operational modeling, and process non-admin payroll.  These responsibilities support the Director of Finance in collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver strong financial performance and support strategic decision-making within the organization.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Financial Analysis & Reporting: Enhance and coordinate analysis of financial data, including revenue analysis, asset and resource performance, and financial modeling. Enhance relational trends, variances, patterns, and opportunities for improvement to support strategic planning and budgeting processes and promote opportunities for
  • Forecasting & Budgeting: Review and provide oversight in modeling of financial forecasts and budgets by providing accurate and insightful analysis. Collaborate with various cross-functional teams and departments to gather relevant data and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Model & Data Validation: Perform data validation and review between financial and operational reporting sources to ensure accuracy and completeness. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or variances identified during the reconciliation process. Develop processes and controls to enhance model and data accuracy and reporting.
  • Cost & Key Performance Analysis: Review and prepare Corporate KPI’s as well as conduct cost-benefit analysis and cost-control initiatives to optimize resource allocation and improve profitability. Identify areas of inefficiency and recommend strategies for cost reduction.
  • Payroll Processing: Execute operations payroll while collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, reporting, and regulatory requirements. This position will maintain payroll records, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and audits.
  • Confidentiality: This position is privy to a high level of confidential and secure information. Strict adherence, discretion, and professional judgment is required to protect and guard the information provided and generated.
  • Process Improvements: Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls. Identify opportunities for automation and leverage technology to streamline workflows.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related required (preferred Master’s degree).
  • Experience 4+ years in the pro-services, financial reporting, and payroll processing required.
  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) are a plus.
  • Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and payroll processing.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, HRIS systems and integrations supporting financial and payroll reporting (e.g., Excel, SAP, QuickBooks, Paylocity).
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and payroll compliance.
