Process Island Trainers are experienced employees who serve as the primary trainers within their area of expertise. They deliver on-the-job training, validate & track employee certifications, and ensure consistent training at their site. They also have responsibility for cross-site support, travel, and training. |

Responsibilities: Main Role Responsibilities - Perform duties and responsibilities of receiving role, training duties flex around operational needs. Subject matter expert for process island – process refinements, updates, proactive troubleshooting, etc. Special projects as required. Back up for operations supervisor Review and update standard work procedures as needed or identify areas of waste both dollars and time to make recommendations to correct. On-the-Job Training (OJT) Deliver structured OJT using certification cards, standards, and operating procedures. Train/ retrain employees on troubleshooting procedures and corrective actions. Observe, evaluate, and validate proficiency before certification sign-off. Onboarding & Development Support onboarding of new employees from day one, Track employee milestones/ timelines within their process island. Travel and Extra Plant Support Remain on call for cross-site troubleshooting, coaching, and guidance, Travel to other sites to support training initiatives, outages, & employment gaps Process Expertise Stay current with process updates, equipment changes, and safety requirements. Retrain associates as needed. New Process documentation and creation Eligibility Requirements Must be a current site employee (internal candidates only). Fully certified in all certifications for their role (level 3). Minimum 3 years of Enviva experience, up to 7 + years Demonstrated strong performance in safety & quality. Lack of disciplinary violations Ability to travel.
Core Competencies Deep Enviva process knowledge and Strong Communication and coaching skills Strong Technical / mechanical inclination (can do maintenance work / troubleshooting on process area, vibrations, noise detection etc.) Proven ability to adapt training methods to meet the needs of employees with diverse experience levels. Organizational skills to manage/ balance training & operational duties. Commitment to safety and quality standards. Ability to serve as role model and mentor.
