About the Role

We're seeking an experienced data professional to accelerate our analytics capabilities and drive strategic decision-making across the organization. You'll collaborate with product, marketing, sales, and engineering teams to deliver actionable insights, build predictive models, and influence key business decisions through data storytelling and evidence-based recommendations.

Our data platform is built on a modern stack including AWS Redshift, Apache Spark, AWS Glue, dbt, and Airflow for orchestration. We leverage Looker and Databricks for analytics and exploration. We're actively exploring real-time analytics solutions, MLOps tooling like SageMaker, MLflow, and Feature Stores, as well as incorporating generative AI use cases using LangChain, LLM APIs, and vector databases.

This is an on-site position that requires 4 days a week (Monday-Thursday) in our San Francisco HQ.

You will

Strategic Analysis & Insights

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to design and execute high-impact analytics projects that drive product strategy and business growth
  • Develop sophisticated analyses using modern statistical methods, machine learning, and causal inference techniques
  • Conduct deep-dive investigations into user behavior, product performance, and market trends

Advanced Analytics & Modeling

  • Build and deploy predictive models, recommendation systems, and forecasting solutions
  • Design and implement robust A/B testing frameworks and analyze experimental results
  • Create automated reporting dashboards and real-time monitoring systems

Data Leadership & Strategy

  • Influence product roadmap and business strategy through compelling data narratives and executive presentations
  • Establish analytics best practices and data governance standards
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team knowledge sharing

Innovation & Research

  • Explore emerging analytics techniques, including generative AI applications for data analysis
  • Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies to enhance analytical capabilities
  • Contribute to our data science research initiatives and thought leadership

You have

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, or related quantitative field
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related roles
  • Proven track record of influencing business strategy through data-driven insights

Technical Skills

  • Expert-level SQL proficiency with experience in modern data warehouses (Redshift,Postgres, Databricks)
  • Advanced Python skills with deep knowledge of data science libraries (pandas, scikit-learn, numpy, matplotlib, seaborn)
  • Experience with modern analytics tools such as dbt, Looker, Tableau, or similar. Hands-on expertise with dbt for building modular, version-controlled, and testable data transformation pipelines.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and experimental design
  • Working knowledge of version control (Git) and command-line tools

Analytical Expertise

  • Strong foundation in applied statistics, regression analysis, and machine learning
  • Experience with A/B testing, causal inference, and experimental design
  • Ability to create compelling data visualizations and interactive dashboards
  • Experience with time series analysis and forecasting techniques

Bonus points 

Advanced Technical Skills

  • Experience with cloud platforms including AWS (preferred), GCP, and Azure, with a strong understanding of modern data infrastructure and services.
  • Knowledge of machine learning operations (MLOps) and model deployment
  • Familiarity with real-time analytics and streaming data processing

  • Track record of success in fast-paced startup or scale-up environments

Compensation description 

Envoy's compensation package includes a market-competitive salary, equity for all full-time roles, and excellent benefits. If you are located in the San Francisco Bay Area, our expected cash compensation for this role is $162,500-$180,000 (Annually). Final offers may vary within the provided range, depending on experience, expertise, and other factors.
