Director of Group Fitness Programming

The essential purpose of this role will be to lead the group fitness team by inspiring and coaching our instructors to maximize their class attendance and provide fun, safe workouts that deliver our members amazing fitness results! The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a Manager including handling all aspects of hiring, coaching, scheduling, payroll and customer service.
Department Purpose: Inspiring our members and guests by offering practical results-oriented programs delivered through fitness professionals.

- Group Exercise training, coaching, success and problem resolution
- Scheduling of Group Exercise classes and instructors
- Class Size
- Safety and reporting of incidents/injuries
- Member Satisfaction
- Continuing Education
KPIs:
- Group Exercise Turnover
- Group Exercise Staffing
- Group Exercise Class Scheduling
- Group Class participants
- Submission of reports and incident reports
- Social Media reviews
Targets:
- Less than 10% turnover
- 100% Group Exercise staffing
- 0 Class Cancellations
- Average of 20+ participants/class
- 0 injuries
- YELP Reviews of 4 stars or higher
Requirements for Success:

- Must be extremely organized.

- Strong attention to detail while producing accurate and high quality work.
- Available to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, mornings, early-mornings, afternoons, evenings and late-night shifts.
- Comfortable with a computer/technology, ability to quickly shift focus, phone etiquette, and good at math.
- Energetic.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Great fitness role model.
- Good musicality (stays on the beat, this isn't applicable to all classes most though).
- Clear communicator (cues well).
- Great motivator.
- Dependable.
- Trouble shoot basic audio equipment issues.
- 5+ years teaching GFit formats.
- Proactively mentor newer instructors.
- Previous team management skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to produce management reports.
Qualifications:
- Nationally accredited Group Exercise Certification
- Group Fitness Certification, Specialty Certification, CPR Cert.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
- Must be able to maintain clean motor vehicle record throughout employment.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from multiple job locations.
Salary Pay Range
$100,000 - $100,000 USD
