What we’re hiring for:  

We are a growing fintech looking to add a Senior Sales Manager on our Tokyo, Japan team!  

What you’ll be responsible for in this role:  

  • Sourcing, developing and signing new business deals that are consistent with the company’s strategy for strong revenue growth                            
  • Identifying and developing green field business opportunities 
  • Identifying and developing business opportunities with existing clients                             
  • Building and managing a pipeline of new logo and upsell opportunities to meet and exceed revenue targets                             
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients and their key personnel                             
  • Motivating team members to achieve exceptional results                             
  • Work with sales team members to execute account planning and engaging directly with senior executives at our customers to advance opportunities through the sales cycle                             
  • Developing and tracking of KPI’s to help increase overall sales productivity and to improve decision-making                             
  • Developing and executing the strategic plan to achieve sales targets and to grow the customer base                             
  • Being responsible for all aspects of the sales process, weekly and monthly reporting on sales forecast, pipeline, and sales activity; striving to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency                             
  • Assisting in developing strategies in support of the Company’s overall sales, business development and profitability goals, among other areas 
  • Working effectively and collaboratively with all functional parts of the organization as a senior leader                             
  • Performing other duties associated with client activities, and other similar or related tasks 

What experiences and skills are necessary to be successful in this role:  

  • 5+ years of enterprise software sales experience with 3+ years of experience selling into Financial Institutions and payments/card issuing space 
  • Proven experience in payments or issuer processing   
  • Passionate about sales with a successful track record of achieving sales quotas with tenacity and persistence 
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills; written, verbal and IT literate 
  • Strong affinity to technology with the ability to grasp new technologies 
  • Demonstrated interest in our business 
  • Able to be hands-on, adapt and thrive in dynamic and fast-paced entrepreneurial environments 
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within and across teams 
  • Native-level fluency in Japanese is a must; reading and writing fluency in English is a must; business-level or higher speaking fluency in English is highly preferred.   
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and sales management tools (HubSpot preferred)
