What role we’re hiring for:
We are a growing fintech organization looking to add an Accounts Receivable Accountant reporting directly to our Accounting Manager!
What you’ll be responsible for in this role:
- Create and distribute customer invoices based on sales orders ensuring correct pricing and billing details, including metrics surrounding volume-based billing metrics
- Create and distribute customer credit notes as appropriate in accordance with company policy
- Record incoming customer payments on a timely basis
- Review and record new customer agreements into the accounting system and ensure associated billing schedule aligns with the agreement
- Assist with revenue recognition review on at least a monthly basis to ensure appropriate accounting of customer contracts
- Regularly review the AR Aging reports and customer balances to identify any potential collections issues proactively and work to resolve issues with client contacts appropriately
- Create various reporting related to collections and invoicing for the accounting team and members of senior management
- Partner with Episode Six Account Management team to assist in resolving any identified issues with client collections proactively and to maintain an open discourse between the accounting function and the client-facing account management function
- Work with the Accounting Manager and Controller to design, implement, and maintain appropriate processes related to invoicing, cash collections, and identification of bad debts
- Provide general support across the accounting function, such as assisting with the month-end close activities, GL reconciliations, and ad hoc project
What experiences and skills are necessary to be successful in this role:
- 7+ years of progressive related accounting experience, ideally with experience in the SaaS/tech industry
- Experience with consolidated financial reporting for multi-currency, multi-entity, or multi-national operations
- Familiarity with the COSO internal controls framework to assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of an appropriate internal controls environment
