What we’re hiring for:  

We are a growing fintech organization looking to add a Business Analyst for our Delivery team! This role will be based for our Scheme Compliance team out of our Chennai. 

The Scheme Compliance team ensures that E6’s platform and services remain compliant with global and domestic payment scheme requirements. The team is responsible for analysing scheme mandates, coordinating with card schemes and internal stakeholders, and supporting clients in fulfilling compliance obligations. 

This role also provides subject matter expertise on scheme documentation and certification, while working closely with Delivery, Support/Account Management teams to manage client-impacting changes. 

What you’ll be responsible for in this role:  

  •  Analyse and interpret mandates from card schemes (e.g., Visa, Mastercard) and ensure timely compliance  
  • Track and manage mandates, including timelines, impact assessments, and implementation status  
  • Lead cross-functional impact assessments with Engineering, Architecture, and Program teams  
  • Act as a key liaison between clients, card schemes, and internal technical teams  
  • Gather, analyse, and translate customer business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications  
  • Prepare detailed documentation to support solution design, development, and testing  
  • Support prioritisation of compliance and client-driven initiatives based on risk and business impact  
  • Partner with Client PMs to define project scope, business impact, and delivery milestones  
  • Support and oversee scheme testing and certification processes (e.g., Visa GTAQ)  
  • Coordinate internal testing and ensure readiness for compliance and client deliverables  
  • Guide clients and internal stakeholders on compliance-related changes and required actions  
  • Ensure Change Requests (CRs) are raised and aligned with implementation needs  
  • Support client implementations, including issue tracking, analysis, reporting, and resolution coordination  
  • Facilitate troubleshooting across teams and drive timely resolution of production and operational issues  
  • Perform root cause analysis, identify trends, and recommend long-term fixes and enhancements  
  • Act as a subject matter expert on scheme rules, onboarding documentation (e.g., APW/CIQ), and certification requirements  
  • Engage with external schemes to clarify requirements and resolve ambiguities  
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes, tools, and product capabilities  
  • Mentor junior team members and promote knowledge sharing across teams 

What experiences and skills are necessary to be successful in this role:  

  • 6–10+ years of experience in payments, cards, or financial services  
  • Strong expertise in card scheme rules, mandates, and compliance frameworks (e.g., Visa, Mastercard)  
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional compliance or regulatory initiatives  
  • Deep understanding of the payment processing lifecycle, including issuing and acquiring flows  
  • Experience managing scheme certifications and testing processes  
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including external scheme interactions  
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities  
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)  
  • Ability to clearly articulate ideas across technical and business audiences  
  • Experience working with APIs and interpreting technical integrations  
  • Working knowledge of Java, relational databases (SQL), and Linux/Unix environments  
  • Highly self-driven with the ability to work independently  
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive, “can-do” mindset in fast-paced environments 

What experiences and skills are preferred in this role:  

  • Experience in card processing and issuing environments  
  • Knowledge of ISO 8583  
  • Familiarity with digital wallets and tokenization  
  • Understanding of PCI DSS  
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services  
  • Knowledge of data encryption and decryption  
  • Exposure to cloud-based distributed systems and scalable architectures
