The Senior HRIS Business Analyst partners with HR, Payroll, Talent, Recruitment, IT, and business leaders to improve processes, optimize technology solutions, and support strategic initiatives. This role is responsible for analyzing business needs, managing system enhancements, supporting HR technology platforms, and delivering projects that improve efficiency, automation, reporting, and the employee experience. 


Your Impact


The essential functions of this position include the following but not limited to:

  • SDLC Project Management – Have knowledge of the software development process from requirements through delivery to production.  Work with implementation team to deliver to customer expectations. Thoroughly document and communicate all project risks to project team.  
  • Software Analysis – Define requirements and evaluate existing functionality details to understand current system and future needs.  Recognize and recommend to the business areas where efficiencies can be gained by altering the process or automating the process.  
  • Software Review and Testing – Perform QA to ensure thorough unit/system testing before hand-off for acceptance testing.  Includes development and execution of test plans/cases.  
  • Support – Support, maintain, and document software functionality.   
  • Documentation - Produce user/operational documentation for the system as well as release notes.  
  • Change Management – Ensure project compliance to ePlus Change Management process.  Coordinate the resolution of software defects as part of the QA and Change Management process.  Review and plan upcoming releases, communicate to the business.  
  • Communication – Ensure all stakeholders are communicated with in a timely and consistent manner.  Elicit requirements from the business to use to produce the scope and requirements.  
  • Process Improvement - Evaluate and improve HR processes through automation, standardization, and system enhancements.  
  • Partnership - Partner with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements.  

Qualifications


Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience.  
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in business analysis, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead analyst role. 
  • Experience with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) – hands-on configuration, support, and process optimization across HRIS modules 
  • Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) – experience supporting, configuring, or optimizing recruiting workflows with a modern ATS like Greenhouse or similar 
  • Led cross-functional initiatives with significant business impact. 
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Power Query), Power BI, or Tableau. 
  • Proficient in configuring enterprise applications to meet business requirements, with the ability to tailor workflows, user interfaces, and business rules without compromising system integrity. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset and the ability to interpret complex information, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions. 
  • Deep understanding of user experiences principles and a strong ability to translate customer needs into technical requirements and process enhancements. 
  • Skilled in identifying potential project and operational risks, evaluating their impact, and proactively recommending mitigation strategies. 

Preferred Skills: 

  • Experience driving process improvement using established methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, Agile). 
  • Experience with Workforce Management (WFM) systems, including scheduling, timekeeping, and labor optimization (preferably UKG Workforce Management). 
  • Experience working with Greenhouse Applicant Tracking System (ATS). 
  • Strong hands-on experience with UKG Workforce Management (WFM). 
  • Proven success supporting or leading HR technology initiatives and enhancements. 
  • Experience participating in one or more end-to-end HRMS implementations. 

Position Specifics


 

The initial base salary range for this position is expected to be between $99,000 and $125,000 annually. The final base salary offered will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, depth of experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, our compensation structure may include other components such as commissions and discretionary bonuses.

ePlus offers a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility, employee stock purchase program and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and personal leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an offer of employment is extended.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
