Sales Director, Service Provider Group (Req #1457)
Overview
ePlus is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Director to lead a regional team within our Service Provider Group (SPG). The SPG focuses on delivering carrier-grade technology solutions and services to telecommunications carriers, broadband providers, fiber operators, cable companies, utilities, municipalities, and power cooperatives throughout the United States. The Sales Director will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, recruiting and developing sales talent, and strengthening ePlus' presence within the service provider ecosystem.
The successful candidate will lead a team of Account Executives selling advanced networking, optical, security, cloud, AI, managed services, and professional services solutions to service provider customers nationwide.
Your Impact
The essential functions of this position include:
- Achieve and exceed assigned regional revenue and gross profit quotas.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Service Provider Account Executives.
- Develop strategic business plans to expand ePlus' presence within the telecommunications, broadband, fiber, utility, and service provider markets.
- Identify, penetrate, and close new service provider accounts while expanding revenue within existing customer relationships.
- Build executive-level relationships with carrier, broadband, utility, and network operator customers.
- Drive new logo acquisition and account growth initiatives.
- Recruit, mentor, and retain top sales talent.
- Maintain accountability for regional forecasting, budgeting, pipeline development, and overall team performance.
- Collaborate closely with Solutions Architects, OEM partners, and professional services teams to develop and deliver comprehensive customer solutions.
- Promote and sell ePlus' extensive portfolio of technologies, services, financing, and lifecycle solutions.
- Conduct business in a professional, competent, and ethical manner.
- Approximately 30% travel is required.

Qualifications
Job Knowledge/Skills:
- 10+ years of successful technology sales experience with a demonstrated history of quota attainment.
- Minimum of 5 years of sales leadership or management experience.
- Proven experience selling complex technology solutions into telecommunications, broadband, service provider, utility, networking, or infrastructure markets.
- Demonstrated success building and growing strategic customer relationships.
- Experience leading teams focused on new logo acquisition and account expansion.
- Strong understanding of channel partnerships and OEM relationships.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working with service providers, telecom carriers, fiber operators, broadband providers, utilities, or related markets.
- Knowledge of carrier networking, optical transport, broadband access, data center, cloud, security, or AI solutions.
- Experience with major technology manufacturers such as Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, Nokia, Infinera, Ribbon, Dell, HPE, VMware, Microsoft, or comparable vendors.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
Positions Specifics
The initial base salary range for this position is expected to be between $150,000 and $200,000 annually. The final base salary offered will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, depth of experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, our compensation structure may include other components such as commissions and discretionary bonuses.
ePlus offers a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility, employee stock purchase program and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and personal leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an offer of employment is extended.
