Here is how the Water Infrastructure Engineering Supervisor/Manager role will impact our business:
The Water Infrastructure Engineering Supervisor/Manager position will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations as well as providing strategic guidance for a team of engineers to meet established milestones and company goals revolving around EQTs water infrastructure and supporting operations. This position will play a critical role in ensuring all deliverables for the water infrastructure engineering team are being met with a focus on specifications, accuracy of design, reliability and optimization of systems, timeliness, cost effectiveness, environmental stewardship, and system deliverability. The Water Infrastructure Engineering Supervisor role will challenge the right leader and bring a sense of purpose, pride and job satisfaction daily.
The Water Infrastructure Engineering Supervisor/Manager’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- “Owner” of Water Infrastructure (Pipeline / Facilities) Standards, Engineering Best Practices, and Equipment Design Specifications.
- Responsible for developing and evolving the specifications / standards / guiding documents leveraged by the team for completing projects.
- Acts as the technical / SME (Subject Matter Expert) for the water infrastructure engineering team.
- Oversight of project management for technical projects and drafting related to pipeline / water & booster pump facility construction and operation to ensure accuracy of design, timeliness, and budget delivery.
- Able to establish strategic plans / evolve the business leveraging the purpose / direction / guidance provided by the Engineering Director.
- Responsible for working directly with water operations and completions to provide guidance / purpose / direction on the design of future pipelines / water facilities / booster stations in order to optimize / maximize water takeaway & transfer to meet future water delivery for downstream operations.
- Mentor and guide the training and development of the water infrastructure engineering team / staff assigned.
- Develop strategic Key Performance Indicators and required tasks that support the Volume Delivery / Water Operations / Production Operations and YOY Executive Targets and Goals.
- Designs significant operational and procedural improvements along with technical and administrative skills to complete engineering projects.
- Oversight of the management of the AFE process / costs / yearly budgets for the water infrastructure staff.
- Provide guidance and needed input to drive reduction of capital expenses, improve efficiency, and meet sub-Department needs.
- Identify and provide guidance to team on opportunities to initiate projects that increase reliability and asset integrity (design for the life of the asset).
Required Experience and Skills:
- 6 + years of experience in engineering.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Petroleum / Chemical).
- Valid driver's license required.
- Strong understanding of process flow & equipment used for separation of fluids on common oil and gas production wells.
- Strong understanding of water operations.
- Strong understanding of ASME & ANSI specs and standards.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics & fluid dynamics.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Extreme ownership mentality.
- Able to take complex workflows / ideas and communicate them concisely to achieve results.
- Self-starter / team player.
- Able to work independently as needed.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience in the oil and gas industry (2 to 5 years of experience).
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite Experience to Include Vizio.
- Familiarization with:

- Aspen
- Ariel Performance
- Smartsheet
- Salesforce
Work Location:
- The job is hybrid, meaning it combines field work, remote work, and office work in the Pittsburgh, PA, area.
Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
