The Production Superintendent I/II will oversee daily production operations across EQT’s assets in West Virginia and Ohio, leading a team of operations supervisors and support staff. This role is responsible for driving safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations while owning the development and execution of the LOE budget. The Superintendent will leverage digital tools and data systems to enhance visibility, reporting, and decision-making across field operations.

 

The Production Superintendent I/II responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and develop a team of 5 Operations Supervisors and 1 District Administrator, ensuring alignment with safety, operational, and performance expectations.
  • Build, manage, and forecast the Lease Operating Expense (LOE) budget, identifying risks, tracking variances, and driving cost control initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain operational reports and dashboards within Salesforce to improve visibility into production performance, work execution, and cost tracking.
  • Oversee daily production operations, ensuring efficient well and facility performance while minimizing downtime.
  • Partner with Production Engineering and cross-functional teams to prioritize and execute optimization opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of field activities across systems such as Maximo and Salesforce.
  • Utilize data and analytics tools to monitor KPIs, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and WV/OH regulatory requirements.
  • Lead safety initiatives, field audits, and incident investigations to reinforce a strong safety culture.
  • Coordinate planning and execution of maintenance and operational activities across the asset.
  • Provide leadership support for emergency response and on-call operational needs.
  • Perform other supervisory and operational duties as required.

 

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 5+ years of oil and gas production operations experience; supervisory experience required.
  • Proven experience building and managing LOE budgets and driving cost performance.
  • Experience leading multi-layered field organizations, including supervisors and administrative support.
  • Strong ability to develop reporting and dashboards in Salesforce or similar systems.
  • Proficiency with operational and data platforms including Power BI, Maximo, Salesforce, and Cygnet or Ignition.
  • Strong understanding of production operations, surface equipment, and field workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data to drive operational and financial decisions.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

 

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • Experience in the Appalachian Basin (Marcellus/Utica).
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Experience driving digital transformation or system adoption in field operations.
  • Advanced data visualization and analytics capabilities.
