Position Summary:
This position is based in-office in Brentwood, TN, and does not offer remote work options. The Virtual Resource Nurse plays a pivotal role as a collaborative care team leader, overseeing day-to-day operations and delivering virtual nursing care to a diverse adult population across various healthcare settings. They provide remote nursing services to patients in acute and sub-acute care, emergency departments, critical care environments, skilled nursing facilities, and even in the patients' homes. Working in partnership with clinical teams at the originating sites, the VRN serves as an expert nurse on the patient care team. They actively deliver patient care, translate evidence-based practices, offer patient and family education, and provide supervision, coaching, and mentoring to fellow nurses. Additionally, the VRN coordinates care across disciplines, collaborating with the originating site and other remote clinical team members.

Key Responsibilities:
• Demonstrates acute and/or critical care level skills and knowledge
• Utilizes critical thinking skills to diagnose clinical problems and define appropriate interventions.
• Exhibits effective English written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in windows-based computer operations
• Working knowledge of computer documentation and navigation systems (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, etc.)
• Preferred additional certifications in the area of specialty
• Completes unit-specific orientation to ensure familiarity with the specific critical care unit
Night Shift Available- 7p-7a
Requirements:
• 5+ years of current experience in acute, critical care, or step down experienced combined
• 1+ years of leadership experience directing other hospital staff on process and procedures regarding clinical workflows
• Implement nursing process, including assessments, care planning, and coordination based on evidence-based protocols
• Prioritize patient advocacy, proactive monitoring, and safe, efficient, patient-centered care
• Delegate and supervise support staff to ensure high-quality patient care
Knowledge and Skills:
• Demonstrated proficiency in acute and/or critical care skills
• Strong understanding of telemetry monitoring, policies, and procedures
• Ability to think critically in diagnosing clinical problems and defining interventions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Proficiency in computer documentation and navigation
Education:
• Valid RN licensure or an unencumbered compact nursing license and the ability to acquire additional nursing licenses
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited university.
• Holds a valid ACLS and BLS certification
• EKG, PALS certification, nice to have

ICU Bedside Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA)- Nights

Position Summary:
Under the direction of the CMO, the Advanced Practice Provider will work within a small team at a local
community hospital, supporting the physicians on staff, as well as working closely with Tele-Intensivist as
back up. We are seeking a provider who wants to work for a passionate team in the Westchester,
New York area, caring for acute critical care patients.
Requirements:
Nighttime shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Managing 6-8 patients in a 10-12 bed ICU
Minimum requirement of 4-6 shifts per month
Previous critical care or acute care experience, along with proficiency in procedures such as venous access and airway management, is strongly preferred.
Position is based in a hospital or healthcare setting with typical risks or discomforts, requiring adherence to standard safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Patient Care:
Provide bedside care for critically ill patients in the intensive care unit (ICU), emergency department, and other acute care settings.
Assess, diagnose, and manage complex medical conditions, including respiratory failure, sepsis, and multi-organ dysfunction.
Initiate and manage life-saving interventions, including ventilator support, vasopressor therapy, and dialysis.
Perform procedures such as central line insertions, arterial line placements, endotracheal intubation, and chest tube insertions as needed.
Hands-on experience with central line placement and endotracheal intubation in acute or critical care settings.
Collaborative Care:
Work closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and specialists, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Communicate effectively with family members, provide updates on patient status and prognosis, and address concerns and expectations.
Clinical Decision-Making:
Make real-time decisions regarding critical care interventions, treatment adjustments, and monitoring protocols based on patient response and evolving clinical conditions.
Interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., labs, imaging studies) and integrate findings into treatment plans.
Patient and Family Education:
Provide education to patients and their families about critical illness, treatment options, and recovery expectations.
Foster an empathetic and supportive environment, especially when discussing end-of-life decisions and advanced directives.
Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, and medical interventions in the hospital’s electronic health record (EHR) system.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, clinical guidelines, and accreditation standards.
Quality Improvement and Safety:
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety in the critical care unit.
Contribute to hospital protocols, best practices, and evidence-based care guidelines.
Identify and report safety concerns and participate in root cause analyses and action plans when needed.

NY Licensure
1 year of ICU experience required
Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP) or Certified Physician Assistant (PA) is required with ICU experience
In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible 401k, and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements). Total compensation is based on several factors, including type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
