About this Job

We seek a Senior RF Systems Engineer with 5+ years of experience in RF PCB design, high-frequency systems (3GHz - 18GHz), and high-volume manufacturing practices. In this role, you will work closely with Contract Manufacturers (CMs), R&D, and hardware teams to develop scalable, highly manufacturable designs. You will play a key role in RF shielding, Design for Test (DFT) strategies, and thermal management to ensure the success of Eridan’s next-generation wireless products.

As our Senior RF Systems Engineer, you will:

RF PCB Design & System Development

  • Lead the design and optimization of switch-mode RF circuit boards for 3GHz - 18GHz applications.
  • Develop RF shielding strategies to minimize EMI/EMC issues.
  • Optimize PCB layouts for signal integrity, power efficiency, and thermal performance.
  • Ensure 4G/5G TDD system compatibility (FDD experience is a plus).

Manufacturability & High-Volume Production

  • Collaborate with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) to improve fabrication and assembly yields.
  • Implement high-volume manufacturing best practices into PCB designs.
  • Define and maintain design rules to enhance repeatability and reliability in production.

Design for Test (DFT) & Validation

  • Develop in-circuit testing (ICT), flying probe testing, and test coupon strategies for high-volume production.
  • Ensure PCB testability, compliance, and quality control standards are met.
  • Work with hardware engineers and test teams to define and execute RF PCB validation strategies.

Thermal & System Integration

  • Support thermal management strategies, including PCB heatsinking techniques.
  • Ensure seamless integration of power systems, RF chains, and shielding techniques.

Qualities of a Successful Candidate

  • 5+ years of experience in RF system engineering & PCB design (3GHz - 18GHz).
  • Strong experience in schematic and layout using Altium
  • Expertise in 4G/5G TDD RF system design (FDD is a plus).
  • Strong background in RF shielding strategies for PCB layouts.
  • Hands-on experience with DFT methodologies (ICT, test coupons, flying probe, etc.).
  • Familiarity with high-volume manufacturing processes and working with CMs.

Salary Range

Given our anticipated growth, we are open to hiring individuals with varying levels of experience to fill this role. Salary will be commensurate with job-related skills, experience and other relevant factors. The base salary range for the primary location of this role is between $130,000 and $175,000 plus stock options and benefits.
