About this Job
Help design the communication technologies that connect today's robots and power the physical AI era.
We're hiring an early-career RF hardware systems engineer who wants to spend real time in the lab. You'll join our systems engineering team and work alongside senior engineers on Eridan's 5G radio products: characterizing RF performance, bringing up boards, and chasing down bugs until they're fixed.
This is a hands-on role with fast learning built in. You'll own well-defined pieces of the radio from the start, and take on more of the system as you grow.
What you'll do
- Get hands-on in the lab. Bring up new boards, run RF characterization and validation, and debug issues at the board and subsystem level.
- Contribute to the radio design. Support schematic and PCB development for RF subsystems, including transceiver chains, impedance-controlled layout, and power distribution.
- Verify against the spec. Help define test plans, run measurements, and report results against system requirements for our 5G radio products.
- Work across teams. Partner with hardware, firmware, software, and Test teams to turn design decisions into clear requirements and resolve integration issues.
- Help get it to production. Support design reviews and qualification so our products are ready to manufacture at volume.
- Automate what you repeat. Write scripts to speed up lab testing and data analysis.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field
- Experience: 2+ years of hands-on industry experience in RF hardware or RF systems engineering
- RF fundamentals: Working knowledge of RF signal chains (LNAs, PAs, mixers, filters, PLLs) and key RF performance metrics such as gain, noise figure, linearity, and EVM
- Hardware design: Experience with schematic capture and familiarity with RF PCB layout practices such as impedance control and grounding
- Lab skills: Hands-on use of RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, VNAs, and signal generators for board bring-up and debug
- Communication: Clear communicator who asks questions, shares findings, and works well with cross-functional teams
- Work authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship or visa transfers
Nice to Have
- Exposure to 5G or LTE radio hardware (O-RAN, small cell, or macro radio), cellular TDD/FDD systems, or 3GPP specifications
- Experience with RF simulation tools such as Keysight ADS or Cadence AWR
- Scripting in Python, MATLAB, or C# for test automation and data analysis
- Understanding of communications theory
- Experience at a startup or growth-stage hardware company
Why you'll love working here
- Build the wireless technology that connects robots and powers the physical AI era, with real impact on global infrastructure
- Work where AI meets wireless, from robotics to AI-native networks (AI-RAN)
- See your work ship: on our lean team, there are no layers between your ideas and the product
- Grow your career on a team that owns its work, speaks candidly, and celebrates progress together
- Pre-IPO equity
- 401(k) with automatic match
- Health, vision, and dental insurance
