Job Brief
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our amazing global finance team! It is a great opportunity to develop your career in Finance being part of an ever-changing organization. This is a full-time, remote position working Monday to Friday.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, reconciling account balances, preparing month-end close procedures, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data.
As a Staff Accountant, you will:
- Maintain and update the general ledger by posting journal entries and ensuring the accuracy of financial data
- Reconcile account balances, including bank statements, intercompany transactions, and other general ledger accounts
- Assisting in month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing adjusting entries, accruals, and financial statements
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies and procedures
- Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and explain significant variances from budgeted or forecasted amounts
- Assist with audits and other financial reporting requirements
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting
- Work daily with the company’s financial platform – NetSuite
- Assist with data entry tasks to the company workflow management system.
- Provide support to other teams, as needed and be part of a global team of finance professionals.
Requirements:
We are looking for an energetic, detail-oriented, organized, self-starting finance professional with the following:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 2-3+ years at minimum of prior experience working general ledger accounting (preferred)
- Global experience (an advantage, not a must)
- Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel, experience with NetSuite will be a major advantage.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members and departments
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Eligible to work in the US.
- Based in Tampa or Orlando, FL a strong advantage
Pay range for the position: $53,000 - $65,000 per year, based on experience.
