About the Role

Espirita is seeking qualified and compassionate Sonographers to join a leading acute health system in Fairbanks, Alaska on a three-year contract.

In this role, you’ll perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations across a range of specialties, contributing to accurate diagnoses and excellent patient care. You’ll be part of a collaborative imaging team in a facility known for its trauma care excellence and commitment to clinical innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasound examinations in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety
  • Accurately document findings and assist in preparing reports for interpretation by radiologists
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to support timely and accurate diagnoses
  • Educate and support patients throughout the imaging process, ensuring comfort and understanding
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and regulatory guidelines
  • Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent
  • ARDMS certification (or eligibility in progress) in one or more specialties (e.g., Abdomen, OB/GYN, Vascular)
  • English proficiency (certification or native fluency)
  • Minimum 24 months of recent clinical experience in sonography
  • Willingness to relocate to Alaska for a minimum of 3 years
