About the Role

We are seeking skilled and adaptable Medical Technologists to provide high-quality laboratory services within a respected Alaskan health system. This is a three-year contract with opportunities for career growth and development.

You’ll work with advanced laboratory technologies and collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team that values innovation, safety, and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate laboratory testing across multiple disciplines (e.g., chemistry, hematology, microbiology, blood bank)
  • Analyze, validate, and report diagnostic results with timely precision
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
  • Follow quality control procedures and regulatory compliance standards
  • Collaborate with medical staff to support diagnosis and treatment
  • Maintain detailed documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory requirements
  • Provide patient-centered communication when applicable and uphold strict safety protocols

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science/Technology
    (credential must be obtained in Australia, Canada, or the USA for equivalency)
  • ASCP or equivalent certification, or eligibility in progress
  • English language proficiency
  • Minimum 24 months of recent acute-care laboratory experience
  • Willingness to relocate to Alaska for a minimum of three years
