About the Team:
Our Strategic Finance team plays a pivotal role in shaping the financial direction of our organization. Responsible for FP&A, budgeting and cost management, the team ensures we achieve strong business results while maintaining financial efficiency. Beyond the numbers, the team drives transformative finance initiatives and M&A projects, contributing to the growth and evolution of our business.
About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Strategic Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in driving financial planning, M&A activities, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FP&A & accounting, hands-on experience in M&A processes and due diligence and stakeholder management skills.
What you will do:
- Lead month-end close processes from an FPA standpoint, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines and timely reporting, working closely with the controllership team.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting for full P&L and cashflow.
- Collaborate with Brand Managers (BMs) and other functional teams on forecasting, costing and analysis to provide actionable insights and drive decision-making.
- Analyze potential acquisitions, including business valuation and financial modeling.
- Prepare comprehensive reports to guide strategic acquisition decisions.
- Organize and manage data room information for due diligence processes.
- Oversee finance-related projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across functions to align financial goals and business strategies.
- Communicate complex financial data effectively to the leadership team to drive informed decision-making.
Who you are:
- 4-6 years of progressive experience in FP&A, M&A and accounting
- You have a strong background in FP&A with a solid understanding of finance and accounting principles, including General Ledger management and close processes.
- You bring experience in M&A activities, including financial modeling, business valuation, and managing due diligence processes.
- You’ve worked with senior leaders across various finance, M&A, and business topics, providing insights and influencing strategic decisions.
- You are proactive and willing to experiment with different ideas and approaches, driving continuous improvement and challenging the status quo.
- You thrive working with large datasets and have a high level of proficiency in Excel and Google sheets and other data tools.
- You excel in communication, with the ability to engage and influence business partners and leaders at all levels of the organization.
- You are self-motivated, highly organized, and focused on delivering impactful results in a dynamic environment.
- Familiar with writing SQL querries.
