About the role
We are seeking a Head of Commercial to lead and optimize the strategic direction of a category of brands. In this key role, you will drive business growth by coordinating the local leadership of marketplace operations and local associate brand managers, fostering collaboration, enhancing efficiency, and upskilling teams. Your expertise in brand strategy, and people development will be essential to building alignment and developing a strong local commercial team while contributing directly to the bottom line.
About the team
You will join our Manila office and report directly to our Director of Philippines Operations and work closely with our VP of Home & Living based in Paris. The team you will be part of, The Marketplace Operations & Brand Management team, manages the end-to-end growth of our brand categories on Amazon and other marketplaces, builds ambitious business growth plans, and collaborates with other teams to accelerate and amplify the current success of our brands, driving them to the next level.
What you will do
- Coordinate a team of Junior Brand Managers and Associate Brand Managers, ensuring smooth cross-functional collaboration across various brand categories, including consumables, home & living, niche products, and more.
- Coordinate local leaders for eCommerce marketplace operations, including teams focused on Amazon PPC, Amazon Seller Central, NPD Launch, and other marketplace initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Brand Management, Supply Chain, Marketing, Product Development, Creative and Design, etc.) to meet business goals.
- Lead, develop, and implement talent development and upskilling programs to enhance the performance of the local marketplace operations and brand management teams. Collaborate with HR on onboarding, training, and development programs, while organizing and hosting training sessions, and building resources such as knowledge databases.
- Lead by example to foster engagement and collaboration within the organization, driving key initiatives in partnership with the local Director of Operations.
- Develop and manage the P&L for a category of brands, directly leading and managing a team of two Brand Managers to drive category growth. Analyze data and product performance to ensure targets are met and implement strategies to increase market share.
Who you are:
- With 8-10 years of experience in a commercial role, with a proven track record in P&L management and driving business growth.
- Background in eCommerce and marketplace operations; knowledge of Amazon is a strong plus.
- Leadership experience in managing and developing high-performing teams, with the ability to foster collaboration and engagement.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively influence stakeholders and inspire teams across a multicultural and distributed environment.
- Driven and high-energy individual, excited to work in a fast-paced, dynamic setting, with a passion for leading teams toward achieving ambitious growth goals.
